2025 Fantasy Football: IDP Mock Draft

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI - APRIL 27: (L-R) Bijan Robinson poses with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell after being selected eighth overall by the Atlanta Falcons during the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft at Union Station on April 27, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri. (Photo by David Eulitt/Getty Images)

IDP Mock Draft on Sleeper

Since a few of our subscribers requested IDP rankings for a fantasy football draft, I just caouldn’t help myself from using this as an article. That means we’re going to be walking through this entire IDP draft as I explain what the other drafted were thinking, and how I swayed from the competition. The scoring is your normal format for an IDP league on Sleeper, which should mirror most drafts done on this platform. Well it’s time to get to the draft so buckle up, because I’m ready to bring the tackles to you. Have a great day, everyone, and may the tackles be with you.

Pick 1.6

Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons

Having the sixth pick, selecting Bijan Robinson was the ideal candidate for how I wanted to start this team. With the touches that Robinson is going to get this season, I wanted every piece of that consistency.

Pick 2.11

A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles

Since I had my running back secure, I decided to draft A.J. Brown, who I feel is getting overlooked this year. With the ability to have a boom game, I couldn’t refuse selecting Brown who gives me a WR1.

Pick 3.6

Chase Brown, Cincinnati Bengals

Here’s where I decided to be bold and pull another running back that gets touches in all aspects on the field. So I’m going with consistency here so that I can lay the hammer down once people start going for defensive players.

Pick 4.11

Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins

No defensive players have gone at this point but I know that people are going to stay a run very soon. For this pick, I decided to take another chance on an explosive player by selecting Tyreek Hill. He allows my team a fighting chance every week, if he decides to play the whole game.

Pick 5.6

Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This was a steal and to be able to draft a player like Mike Evans in the fifth round is outstanding. This not only solidified my receiving corp, but it gives me another player that’s penciled in for 1,000 yards and double-digit touchdowns.

*Before selecting my next pick… Roquan Smith (5.12), Zaire Franklin (6.4), Maxx Crosby (6.6), Micah Parsons (6.8), and Fred Warner (6.10), were all selected as the first five IDP selections.

Pick 6.11

Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers

The quarterbacks were starting to get thin and I have this hunch about Brock Purdy this year. I feel that the Niners are either going to crash and burn or be competitive again, which is a great thing for Purdy and your fantasy teams.

Pick 7.6

Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs

I needed a tight end at this point and I couldn’t believe that Travis Kelce was still there. I hit the draft button faster than I did with Robinson in the first round, with a smile on my face. To have the alpha in the passing game in Kansas City now makes this team a championship team.

Pick 8.11

Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans

This is where I started to fill in my back-ups and a player like Calvin Ridley is the perfect fit. Ridley should have a great season sticking up all the targets, no matter who the quarterback is in Tennessee.

Pick 9.6

Cooper Kupp, Seattle Seahawks

I couldn’t pass up my boy Cooper Kupp being a Rams fan but that also comes with merit. Kupp is an amazing player and always finds a way to get open. With Seattle looking to push the ball more this year, I’m sure having a backup like Kupp gives this team another edge.

Pick 10.11

Rhamondre Stevenson, New England Patriots

I needed to start focusing on my running backs at this point and Rhamondre Stevenson was right there. I’m not a big fan but I’ll take him at this point and he does have a pathway for success in New England, no matter if it’s a running back by committee approach.

Pick 11.6

Trey Hendrickson, Cincinnati Bengals

Now was the time to go for my IDP players and I know that at some point, Trey Hendrickson should be back on the field. Getting Hendrickson this late in the draft is a godsend from the fantasy football gods, especially after leading the league in sacks last year.

Pick 12.11

Daiyan Henley, Los Angeles Chargers

Here’s one of my surprise players for this year that I suggested when he was a rookie. Daiyan Henley is going to wow people this year and now my team is ready to dominate,  defensively going forward.

Pick 13.6

Matt Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

I know a lot of people don’t like drafting a backup quarterback this early but I need to make sure that I have a player I can trust. However, Matt Stafford does come with some risk of his own. Regardless, I’m willing to take that risk as a backup to Purdy.

Pick 14.11

Will McDonald Jr., Houston Texans

This league has seven slots on the IDP side so I couldn’t help adding Will McDonald Jr., who is eligible for both defensive line and linebacker. Not to mention the former rookie of the year just keeps getting better which will give this teams sacks throughout the season.

Pick 15.6

Rashid Shaheed, New Orleans Saints

So here’s another long shot as Rashid Shaheed has shown he can be an explosive player, when healthy. Since this league credits return yardage too, Shaheed gives me a chance at those points, if I choose to chase them.

Pick 16.11

Yaya Diaby, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Yaya Diaby is a player no one knows about and while others struggle to fill in their rosters, I’m reaping the benefit with my knowledge. Diaby is going to be in the top 20 defensive players this year for scoring and you heard it here first.

Pick 17.6

Brenton Strange, Jacksonville Jaguars

I needed a backup for Kelce and I’ve always been a Brenton Strange guy. Since drafting him in my dynasty draft, I’ve loved having him as a backup to Dalton Shultz and Brock Bowers. Believe me, Strange is going to surprise a lot of people when he scores more than five touchdowns this year.

Pick 18.11

Nick Chubb, Houston Texans

At this point, no one knew that Joe Mixon was going to have health issues, so this pick now becomes a showstopper. Nick Chubb is a physical freak and now that he’s had time to fully heal from his injury and a couple years ago, he can easily start on any fantasy team this year.

Pick 19.6

Cody Barton, Tennessee Titans

I wanted to add depth to my defense and I have a feeling that the Titans are going to be a bad football team this year. That means Cody Barton is going to be on the field for most of the season, giving me a viable starter, on the bench.

Pick 20.11

Dorian Williams, Buffalo Bills

If you don’t know about Dorian Williams, you will soon enough. The Buffalo Bills are going to be great again this year and Williams is a catalyst of the defense. When healthy, Williams can easily score your fantasy teams over 10 points a week finalizing my linebacking crew.

Pick 21.6

DeShon Elliott, Pittsburgh Steelers

I needed to draft a safety and with DeShon Elliott still available, I snagged him up immediately. Playing defense on the Steelers comes with rewards, and it’s those opportunities that could lead to a defensive touchdown for Elliott.

Pick 22.11

Dyami Brown, Jacksonville Jaguars

I needed another wide receiver so I decided to get sneaky with Dyami Brown. Most likely Brown could be playing third fiddle to Brian Thomas Jr., and Travis Hunter. However, one injury and Brown could easily have a pathway to a lot of targets.

Pick 23.6

Zach Moss, Free Agent

At the time of this draft, Zach Moss was Chase Brown’s backup, which gave me my handcuff running back. However, that has changed and Moss should find a team in no time.

Pick 24.11

Isaiah Pola-Mao, Las Vegas Raiders

I needed to fill-in my secondary and Isaiah Pola-Mao was the perfect fit since myself and a lot of others have no respect for the Raiders defense. That’s great for Jeremy Chinn and Pola-Mao, who should both have a King season chasing offensive players all over the field.

Final Words

I didn’t want to make this a long article but I felt that walking through the draft while giving my thoughts was the best approach for this article. I feel that this team is very unique and that I should have enough consistent weeks to catapult them to the playoffs. I hope you enjoyed this walk-through and I can’t wait to do another draft.
