Whether it’s moonshot home runs, clutch base hits, or multi-hit games that just won’t quit, these dawgs have been on absolute fire. We’re breaking down the hottest players at the plate from the past week—guys who’ve been raking, slugging, and turning heads with every swing. Let’s take a look at who tore it up and made noise last week around the league, in no particular order.

Will Benson, OF – Cincinnati Reds

Last Week’s Line: .526/.591/1.368/1.959, 5 HR, 10 RBI, 5 R, 1 SB

Since his recall from Triple-A on May 9, Benson has provided a spark for the Reds’ offense, hitting safely in all but one game. Last week Benson homered in four consecutive games from May 15 to 18 (including two against the Guardians on Sunday), producing 15 runs in that span.

Jose Ramirez, 3B – Cleveland Guardians

Last Week’s Line: .364/.440/.818/1.258, 3 HR, 5 RBI, 7 R, 3 SB

José Ramírez did it all last week, hitting safely in all six games (extending his hitting streak to 12 games), including homering in three straight. He also stole three bases against the Brewers on Monday, all three of which helped manufacture runs.

Corbin Carroll, OF – Arizona Diamondbacks

Last Week’s Line: .308/.379/.692/1.072, 3 HR, 4 RBI, 7 R, 4 SB

Corbin Carroll just keeps having weeks, and this one added to his blistering start to the season. As of Sunday, he’s among the NL leaders in hits (55), triples (5), home runs (14), runs scored (38), and holds a .279 batting average with a .941 OPS. I feel like I owe Corbin an apology.

Miguel Vargas, UTIL – Chicago White Sox

Last Week’s Line: .417/.423/1/1.423, 4 HR, 9 RBI, 5 R, 0 SB

Despite the Sox being swept by the Cubs, Miguel Vargas stood out by going 6-for-10 with three home runs and five RBIs over the weekend. His offensive surge provided a bright spot in an otherwise challenging Crosstown series for the Good Guys.

Pete Crow-Armstrong, OF – Chicago Cubs

Last Week’s Line: .458/.462/.917/1.378, 2 HR, 10 RBI, 5 R, 1 SB

Pete Crow-Armstrong had another fantastic week, adding to his already historic season – becoming the only player in MLB history with at least 11 home runs, 10 doubles, 10 stolen bases, and at least three triples in his team’s first 47 games. This kid may be special.

Shohei Ohtani, DH – Los Angeles Dodgers

Last Week’s Line: .346/.4/.808/1.208, 4 HR, 9 RBI, 6 R, 0 SB

Ohtani is on another level right now and appears to be marching towards another MVP award. Homers in three straight this week, including two home runs (driving in six runs) in leading the Dodgers to a dominant 19–2 victory over the A’s on Thursday, and then hitting a 115 MPH nuke (433 feet) Friday night against the Halos.

CJ Abrams, SS – Washington Nationals

Last Week’s Line: .300/.344/.767/1.110, 4 HR, 4 RBI, 8 R, 1 SB

CJ Abrams put an exclamation point on the Nationals’ series sweep over the Orioles this weekend going 3/5 with a double, two home runs, and two ribeyes in a 10–4 victory on Sunday.Abrams ate on the road this week, with multiple hits in three of the Nats’ seven games. The batted ball profile looks great on this kid, with improvements to exit velo, launch angle, and barrels per plate appearance.

Cody Bellinger, 1B,OF – New York Yankees

Last Week’s Line: .458/.536/.875/1.411, 2 HR, 8 RBI, 6 R, 0 SB

Bellinger delivered a decisive grand slam in the eighth inning of the Yankees’ 8-2 victory over the Mets on Sunday, marking his 13th consecutive game reaching base. Rivalry Weekend was good to Belly, who went 7/12 with two home runs and 11 RBIs/runs combined, helping the Yankees take two of three in the Subway Series.

Wilmer Flores, 1B – San Francisco Giants

Last Week’s Line: .348/.464/.739/1.203, 3 HR, 9 RBI, 6 R, 0 SB

Flores delivered a career-best performance Friday night, hitting three home runs—including a grand slam—and driving in eight runs in a 9–1 victory against the Athletics. This marked his first career three-homer game and made him the first Giant with a grand slam and a three-run homer in the same game since the team’s move to San Francisco in 1958. And yes, I had to look up that last bit (San Francisco Chronicle, I thank you.)

Marcell Ozuna, OF – Atlanta Braves

Last Week’s Line: .292/.419/.708/1.128, 3 HR, 9 RBI, 6 R, 0 SB

Great things at Fenway over the weekend: the new Green Monster City Connects, and Marcell Ozuna. Maybe not Friday night (0/3, BB). But Saturday/Sunday? Man. 3/7, 2 HR, 4 runs, 4 RBIs, and 3 BBs). Oh, and he was also pretty good (4/11, 1 HR, 5 RBI) against the Nationals to start the week.
