At RT Sports, there is an amazing daily fantasy pick’em game where you can choose different props for a chance to win money! Pick at least two props, select “more” or “less” on each prop, submit the picks, and you’re good to go! Below, you will find my favorite props/picks for today/tonight’s slate of games. You can choose just two props or choose them all and make it into one big parlay!
This Weeks Record: 5-6
Last Weeks Record: 8-9-1
Past Ten Weeks Record: 101-76-8
Corey Seager MORE than 1.5 Total Bases
Seager is in an excellent matchup today. He is facing White Sox SP Nick Nastrini, who is 0-5 in six starts this season with an 8.39 ERA and a 1.98 WHIP. The Rangers should score plenty of runs, and Seager, who bats second in their lineup, will be in the middle of it all. He has three multi-hit games in his past five, and multiple hits today would win this prop, but he also has four extra-base hits in his past five games, and just one XBH today would win this prop.
Elly De La Cruz MORE than 6 Fantasy Points
Elly has at least one hit in seven of his past eight games and at least a hit and a run in four straight games. If you account for the fact that he has also drawn walks, driven in runs, and steals bases, you’ll realize pretty quickly that he can reach six or more fantasy points in the first inning of any game. All it would take is a walk and a SB (he has 61 steals this season). Or maybe he gets a double and a run or an RBI single and then either a SB or a run. Any game Elly plays is an opportunity for him to reach six fantasy points, and a matchup against the A’s in Cincy presents an even better opportunity for it.
Michael King MORE than 5.5 Strikeouts
King has struck out six or more batters in nine of his past ten starts, and the one time he didn’t get to six or more came all the way back on July 4th, when he still struck out five. He has been a model of consistency in the strikeout department and has struck out seven or more batters five times in his past seven starts. His matchup against the Cardinals tonight is a good one, too; they are an inconsistent offense that can be shut down by good pitching. King is 11-7 this season with a 3.14 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and .218 BAA. He has 174 Ks in 146.1 innings.
Ryne Nelson MORE than 5 Strikeouts
I cannot ignore what Nelson has done in his past nine starts. He has struck out five or more batters in eight of them, and in his past five starts, he has been even better. He struck out 38 batters in 31.1 innings during that time, with no less than six strikeouts in any of the starts, seven or more strikeouts in four of the five starts, and as many as nine strikeouts in two of the starts. He has also gone six or more innings in five of his past six starts, which is one of the main reasons why his strikeout totals have been on the rise. Of course, the innings you throw, the more opportunity there is for strikeouts.
