At RTSports, there is an amazing daily fantasy pick’em game where you can choose different props for a chance to win money! Pick at least two props, select “more” or “less” on each prop, submit the picks, and you’re good to go! Below, you will find my favorite props/picks for today/tonight’s slate of games.
Yordan Alvarez MORE than 1.5 Total Bases
Although Alvarez went hitless in his last game, he had an eight-game hitting streak prior, and five of those games were multi-hit efforts. He is one of the best all-around hitters in MLB, and I love his matchup tonight against Griffin Canning, who gives up a lot of HR and has a 4.69 ERA with a 1.37 WHIP this season.
Nick Lodolo LESS than 6 Strikeouts
He hasn’t topped this number in his past two starts, and his last start came against the same team he faces today: the Cubs. Anytime an offense sees the same pitcher in back-to-back starts, it’s always advantage offense. This game is also in Cincinnati, which is a hitter-friendly park, so I don’t expect Lodolo to have a good outing.
Framber Valdez LESS than 5 Strikeouts
Since the beginning of May, Valdez has made six starts, and he has struck out five or more batters just one time. In the other five outings, he has recorded four strikeouts or less, and overall this season, he just hasn’t been as sharp as in years past. Even with a good matchup against the Angels, I don’t expect Valdez to generate many swings and misses.
Cody Poteet MORE than 4 Strikeouts
He has a tough matchup on paper against a good Dodgers lineup. The thing is, the Dodgers lineup is very top-heavy, and after the first four or five hitters, there have been a lot of easy outs for opposing pitchers. Poteet has pitched well in his two starts so far this season, striking out four Guardians and then six Giants. The Guardians don’t strike out a lot either, so the four Ks against them would typically be a higher number against other teams.
