Top 10 WWE Men’s Power Rankings Monday, February 9th

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - OCTOBER 11: A WWE logo is shown on a screen before a WWE news conference at T-Mobile Arena on October 11, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was announced that WWE wrestler Braun Strowman will face heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury and WWE champion Brock Lesnar will take on former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez at the WWE's Crown Jewel event at Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on October 31. Hello everybody, and welcome back to another week of the WWE’s Men’s Power Rankings. With only the Elimination Chamber between now and Wrestlemania, you can bet things are going to heat up once the superstars are set for the chamber. Also, I will be having a podcast dedicated to the Elimination Chamber on Tuesday, February 24th, at 8pm to talk about the event and if there’s a DraftKings pool that week to win some money on. For now, let’s run through the list and get you caught up on some of the most recent storylines. Have a great day, everyone, and may the slams be with you.

10. Logan Paul:

“The Maverick” Logan Paul had another strong showing at the Royal Rumble. He looked great as always and even made it close to the end, showing that the WWE really loves his skill set. Going forward, I can see Paul getting a chance to wrestle in the Elimination Chamber.

9. Gunther:

Gunther defeated A.J. Styles in a retirement match for Styles at the Royal Rumble. Since then, he’s been trolling Styles, most recently by coming out to this entrance. This led to a fight after Dragon Lee came out once Gunther started talking badly about the WWE Universe.

8. Carmelo Hayes:

Carmelo Hayes continued the tradition of the U.S. Championship by defending it once again on SmackDown. This week, he defended his title against the Miz in another amazing match that stole the show. This match was amazing and definitely stole the show up till this point. Going forward, it would be nice to see these title defenses take a break, giving Hayes a chance to develop a feud with someone leading up to Wrestlemania, if he can hold on to his belt.

7. Dominik Mysterio:

Dominik Mysterio has been limited due to the current storylines the WWE is pushing. However, last week on RAW, Mysterio finally returned to the WWE, which sets up nicely for the Elimination Chamber. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Intercontinental Championship put up for grabs in an Elimination Chamber, but that’s unlikely to happen right now, given the current storylines going on in the WWE.

6. Bron Breakker:

Bron Breakker was attacked by a masked man while he was on his way to the Royal Rumble. Now that he’s back after that attack, you can expect Breakker to keep causing destruction as he did when he was on RAW last week. His words to Paul Heyman seemed concerning, and that’s for good reasons, given Heyman’s history with clients.

5. “Main Event” Jey Uso:

Jey Uso entered the Royal Rumble with winning it on his mind, which didn’t go his way. After doing his silly restart to his music, Reigns decided to take that moment to teach Jey a lesson by laying him out. I’m sure they’ll get over it when they see each other three next time, but Jey never forgets stuff like this, so expect him to say something to Reigns about it. YEET!

4. Roman Reigns:

Roman Reigns made his triumphant return to RAW last week after winning the Royal Rumble. After asking the WWE to acknowledge him, C.M. Punk came out to go back and forth with Reigns, which led to Reigns choosing Punk as his Wrestlemania opponent.

3. Drew McIntyre:

Drew McIntyre chose to start this week by giving a promo, but was beaten up by Rhodes at the beginning of the show. So then McIntyre decided to try this again, only to catch a worse beating by Jacob Fatu. This is heading towards a Triple-threat match at Wrestlemania, in which we all could see Rhodes win his championship back, unless something else happens in the meantime.

2. Cody Rhodes:

Cody Rhodes decided to attack Drew McIntyre while he was making his way to the ring after a video vignette from the Royal Rumble. After they were separated, Rhodes grabbed a mic and started talking about lewd things before staring at the Wrestlemania sign, disgruntled.

1. C.M. Punk:

C.M. Punk came out to confront Reigns, as he was cutting a promo on Monday Night RAW last week. Punk brought up things from the past and their gripes that they had with each other, which led to Reigns choosing Punk, as I said earlier. This match and feud have been stirring for a long time, and with Wrestlemania happening soon, it can only get better. It’s stories like this that captivate wrestling fans and make us all come back for more.
