NFL Draft: NFC East Teams Biggest Targets

NEW ORLEANS, LA - FEBRUARY 8: A general view of the 2025 NFL Draft logo at the NFL Experience fan festival a day prior to Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles inside of the Ernest N. Philadelphia Eagles

1. Nick Emmanwori, Safety, South Carolina – if he can fall all the way to pick 32, would fill an immediate need at safety.

2. Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, Boston College – the production from Josh Sweat needs to be replaced, and Ezeiruaku ca do that as a pure pass rusher.

3. Gray Zabel, Offensive Line, North Dakota State – A versatile player who could serve as a contingency plan if there were any injuries along that great offensive line.

4. Marcus Mbow, Tackle, Purdue – Lane Johnson isn’t going to play forever. Mbow is a prototype athlete who would be a great “draft and stash” development project.

5. Jack Kiser, Linebacker, Notre Dame – Could serve as a utility backup and special teamer. In an organization that prides itself on culture, he’d be a great fit.

Washington Commanders

1. Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College – Could provide additional pass rush help immediately to a defense that struggled at times last season.

2. Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas – Versatile piece that can play any scheme and position in a secondary that was a weak point last season.

3.  Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon – With Philadelphia being in the division, you’re going to have to stop the run to beat them, and Harmon could help with that as a potential late day 1 or day 2 selection.

4. Jonah Savaiinaea, OT, Arizona – Offensive tackle may not be the biggest priority in Washington, but they could use a Day 2 pick to pick a guy who could help protect Franchise QB Jayden Daniels.

5. Treveyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State – The Commanders have two serviceable running backs, but Henderson’s speed and explosiveness could add another dimension to the offense.

Dallas Cowboys

1. Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State – if Jeanty falls to pick 12, there is no more obvious player-to-team fit than Jeanty with Dallas. Brian Schottenheimer could draft his LaDainian Tomlinson if he makes it that long.

2.  Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona – Jerry Jones loves to make a splash in the draft, and drafting the big-bodied Arizona WR to pair across from CeeDee Lamb would make some waves.

3. Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State – If he falls to Dallas in Round 2, would be a perfect low-ego, professional football player to take some attention off of CeeDee Lamb without creating any more problems in the offense.

4. Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina – High risk, high reward player who could go from day 2 selection to shutdown corner.

5.  Alfred Collins, DT, Texas – An in-state prospect who could come in and help Dallas’ run defense issues.

New York Giants

1.  Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado – I know they just signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, but neither of those options will be around for 3+ years, and drafting Shedeur would be addressing the issue now as opposed to kicking the can down the road.

2. Travis Hunter Jr., Colorado – While neither WR nor CB is a position of immediate need, I will never be opposed to drafting the best athlete in the draft and making a spot for him.

3. Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State – If the pick is not a Colorado Buffalo at #3, I think the Giants could add a generational edge rusher in Carter, even though it is not a position of immediate need.

4. Donovan Jackson, OL, Ohio State – position-versatile player who could fix a lot of problems on one of the league’s worst offensive lines as a day-two selection.

5. Deone Walker, DL, Kentucky – Would address an immediate need on the defensive line as a day two selection.
