As we enter the midway point of the season, the NFL is down to one lonely, undefeated team. The Kansas City Chiefs, the back-to-back defending champions, are now 6-0. And they just acquired WR DeAndre Hopkins. Is 17-0 too early to talk about?
Team after team this season has challenged them to take the top spot from them. All have inched closer, but I haven’t wavered…until someone can defeat them, they will remain on top of this list. The real question for me was who deserved to be no.2. This past week, Minnesota held that spot, but they fell to the Lions, who were sitting at no.5. Baltimore was sitting at no.3 and thoroughly destroyed the Buccaneers. Would it be fair or reasonable to have Detroit leapfrog them into the second spot, holding the Ravens at no.3. Ultimately, I couldn’t jump the Ravens, even though they are sitting with two losses, while the Lions only have one. The Chiefs, Ravens, and Lions are sitting 1-2-3 this week.
