Welcome back everyone, as we continue our journey this week into the wild world of wrestling. With Summerslam less than two weeks away, you can bet feuds will be heating up since we only have four live shows left before then. That being said, let’s get to this week’s power rankings so we can catch up with some of the stories going on right now. Have a great day, everyone, and may the slams be with you.
John Cena: John Cena will be facing Cody Rhodes at Summerslam on August 2nd for the WWE Championship. Cena thought he would get the last laugh when he attacked Cody on SmackDown but that didn’t end well for him.
Cody Rhodes: Cody Rhodes got the better of John Cena on Friday Night Smackdown after they got into a fight after their promo. With Summerslam less than two weeks away, we only have three live shows left before their big dance at summer’s biggest party.
“Main Event” Jey Uso: Jey Uso lost to Bron Breakker after an amazing match during the Number 1 Contenders Gauntlet match last week. With Roman back and coming to Monday Night RAW this week, we could see a Bloodline reunion happen once they come face-to-face.
C.M. Punk: C.M. Punk won the Gauntlet match on RAW last week to solidify his championship match with Gunther at Summerslam. Now he can focus on August 2nd, as he finally gets a chance to wear WWE gold again.
Bron Breakker: Bron Breakker lost to C.M. Punk in the Gauntlet match, but afterwards his faction made their statement by beating everyone down. That was until a familiar superstar made his return, putting Bron in his place.
Gunther: Gunther shot a promo on RAW last week as he talked about Bill Goldberg and his win over him. After that, he was taunted by Paul Heyman who was accompanying Bron to the ring. Gunther took it like a man but he eventually stood down and left the ring.
L.A. Knight: L.A. Knight lost to Bron Breakker in the Gauntlet match between them on RAW. This was only a misstep since Knight seems to have other business to deal with anyway. YEAH!
Roman Reigns: Roman Reigns came back last week and sent a statement last week when he came out to save C.M. Punk from being another beatdown by Paul Heyman’s faction. Now that Roman is back, you can expect him to catch up on some other unfinished business he has to attend too.
Jacob Fatu: Jacob Fatu had another run in with his family as Solo Sikoa and Tala Tonga but this time Jimmy Uso came to save the day. After the shenanigans, Adam Pierce came out and announced that Sikoa will be defending his U.S. Title against Fatu in a steel cage match at Summerslam.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins: Seth Rollins was injured during his match at Saturday’s Night Main Event. As of right now, Rollins’ injury could just mean an extended break for now but HHH’s saying that Rollins has to next June to cash out in was somewhat promising.
