We’re fresh off another weekend in which the WWE had three events themselves spanning all day Saturday and Sunday night. I want to congratulate Naomi on cashing in her Money in the Bank last night at Evolution to win the Women’s WWE Championship. That was major but unfortunately we have some bad news on the horizon for Seth Rollins that is going to change most of the storylines going forward. This is a major blow for the company and the faction they were trying to build so let’s pray for some good results on that end. That being said, let’s get to this week’s power rankings so we can catch up with some of the stories going on in the world of wrestling, right now. Have a great day everyone and may the slams be with you.

John Cena: John Cena will be facing Cody Rhodes at Summerslam on August 2nd for the WWE Championship. Cena has been busy with his outside schedule but with the weekend behind us, you can redirect him to make his return this week.

Cody Rhodes: Cody Rhodes remained off T.V. this week other than congratulating Goldberg at the end of the night on Saturday. Now that this weekend is behind us, you can expect Cody to call out Cena immediately. That could happen tonight since Rollins had been starting RAW and of course won’t be doing that now. This is why you’ll read about Seth so much this week. He was literally set up to be the cog running the wheel but now we’ll just get back to good ole storytelling and Cody isn’t going to let us down.

“Main Event” Jey Uso: Jey Uso faced Bronson Reed on RAW last week and was able to defeat him before being jumped once again. After the match, Reed brutalized Jey trying to take him out like they did Sami. He continually dropped Tsunamis on him until he felt his work was done. With the way Jey, Jimmy, and Jacob have been dominated recently, it seems like their only savior is the OTC.

Bron Breakker: Bron Breakker had a one on one match with Sami Zane last week in Monday Night RAW. Outside of being a bully most of the time, it’s always great to see Bron in a match but I didn’t think the antics with Karrion Kross were needed. However, for Sami’s story with Kross, this was a much needed nail for the coffin that Sami will end up in at Summerslam, when those two face each other. For now, Bron’s character will be in limbo until Seth’s timeline is determined.

C.M. Punk: C.M. Punk had another relaxing week off but now he’ll be called upon to do what he was doing with Seth, but even more. For me, it was great to see Seth involved in so many storylines but now that the piper has come to collect, all of those stories are in jeopardy. None of that matters for Punk though because like a chameleon, he’ll be able to flip stories and make whatever direction the WWE wants to go with him, happen.

Gunther: Gunther showed up and showed up against Bill Goldberg in their World Heavyweight Championship match. I was completely wrong in thinking that Seth would cash in but maybe those plans changed once Seth was injured. Regardless, Goldberg looked great in this match and that’s why Gunther was the perfect pick for the WWE superstar.

L.A. Knight: L.A. Knight could tell immediately when Seth was injured so between them and the referee, they came up with a fast finish to protect Seth. Going forward you can bet that Knight will still be part of the title picture but now that a big part of the storyline is gone in Seth, we’ll have to wait and see what’s next for the WWE’s Megastar. YEAH!

Jacob Fatu: Jacob Fatu fell this week after watching Jimmy Uso lose to Solo Sikoa in their U.S. Title match.  Of course Fatu couldn’t do anything to help prevent this but he did come save Jimmy once the after match shenanigans started. This story is becoming highly one-sided anymore and with Seth out, the WWE may need the OTC to save them.

Roman Reigns: Roman Reigns remains off of T.V. while Solo’s Bloodline keeps getting stronger every week. Now that Seth may be hurt, I feel you have to bring back Roman now but even so, I don’t see him being in the title picture right now. However, once Roman is back, you can believe that he’ll be even the odds against Solo and his Bloodline.

Seth “Freakin” Rollins: Seth Rollins was injured during his match at Saturday’s Night Main Event. As we wait for his results today, the WWE will have to figure out how they’re going to change these stories more that they have lost the messiah of the faction, and most importantly, the MITB briefcase
