Top MLB Prop Picks 4/30
Juan Soto MORE Than 7 Fantasy Points
Last night can be considered a bad night for Soto, as he only got on base once with a loud single. We are used to seeing him collect multiple hits or walk multiple times and hit for power. He’s been one of the best hitters in baseball all season long, and he faces the Orioles’ worst SP tonight: Dean Kremer. Look for Soto to get back to doing big damage at the dish.
Simeon Woods Richardson MORE Than 4 Strikeouts
He has made two starts for the Twins this season, and his good pitching has earned him another start today. He is a former top prospect who struggled in the big leagues last season; however, this season, he has a solid 2.46 ERA, a 1.00 WHIP, and increased velocity on his fastball. That increased velocity has also led to strikeouts, as SWR has a K per inning this season and at least five Ks in each of his starts. He also has a good matchup tonight against the White Sox, who are the worst team in MLB this season.
William Contreras MORE Than 7.5 Fantasy Points
Contreras has historically crushed left-handed pitching, and tonight he will face Rays LHP Tyler Alexander, who has struggled against right-handed hitters this season. Contreras is also having a terrific season overall in 2024, batting .348 with five HRs, 22 RBI and a .971 OPS.
Mike Trout MORE Than 0.5 Runs
I played this prop yesterday and will again today. Trout has moved into the leadoff spot in the Angels’ lineup. He is having a very good season and hitting for a lot of power, so he can drive himself in. His lineup spot also puts him in a position to be driven in by the guys behind him. As an added bonus, Trout is also stealing bases this season, so even if he just takes a walk or hits a single, he can put himself in scoring position.
Jo Adell MORE Than 0.5 Hits
Adell has been a top prospect for years. He always performed well in the minor leagues, but never seemed to have success in the big leagues. This season though, it seems like things are different. Adell has been hot at the plate lately and is batting .321 this season with a .373 OBP in 22 games. He has moved up to second in the lineup as well, so he is seeing more at-bats and that gives him more opportunities to get a hit.
