Top MLB Prop Picks 4/2
Masyn Winn MORE Than 0.5 Hits
Winn is one of the top prospects in the Cardinals’ organization and he has looked good so far after winning the starting SS job out of Spring Training. He has a hit in three straight games, two of which were multi-hit games. He will face Yu Darvish tonight, which isn’t the best of matchups, but even in Darvish’s most recent start, in which he only allowed one run, he did allow a hit per inning. I am going with the hot young hitter who continues to impress.
Andrew Heaney MORE Than 4 strikeouts
The Rays struck out 12 times last night against the Rangers pitching, including seven times against starter Dane Dunning, who isn’t known as a strikeout pitcher. Heaney is a strikeout pitcher, averaging well over a strikeout per inning over the past six seasons. The one concern I have with Heaney tonight is that he hasn’t pitched in a game since March 12th, and although he went five innings that day, which is what you want to see, he has had a long layoff between outings. If he isn’t able to give us at least five innings tonight, the strikeout totals could suffer, but I still like him to reach this mark.

Trea Turner MORE Than 0.5 Runs
Turner has at least one hit in three straight games, also adding two walks, two steals, and two runs during that three-game stretch. His ability to get on base and steal bases leads to high run totals, and he bats in front of two star hitters in Bryce Harper and J.T. Realmuto. Turner will face Graham Ashcraft today, which is a good matchup for him. Ashcraft’s career ERA is over 4.50, which means that, on average, he allows a run to score in more than half the innings he pitches.
Tyler Anderson MORE Than 4 strikeouts
The Marlins have struck out 33 times in their past three games, ranging between nine and 13 per game. Tyler Anderson isn’t the type of pitcher I would usually bet on, and certainly not in a positive way, but I am a numbers guy, and the numbers tell me that this is a good bet. Anderson struck out six in his final spring start, in only 4.2 innings. He is stretched out to go five or six innings tonight, and that should be enough for him to reach the five Ks we want.
