Bats
66% OF Austin Hays, Cincinnati Reds- He’s back and he’s hitting bombs. Much better in batting average leagues than OBP, but is worth starting in both formats with how well he’s been playing.
44% OF Tyler Freeman, Colorado Rockies- He has been an excellent source of speed in deeper leagues and should continue to be, pending good health. Batting leadoff currently and still displaying great plate discipline.
33% 1B Josh Bell, Washington Nationals- Though his numbers aren’t so great for the season, he does have 13 bombs and has been swinging a hot bat lately. He’s hitting an impressive .323/.408/.500 this month!
6% OF Taylor Trammell, Houston Astros- Trammell is currently batting leadoff and is getting a good amount of playing time. He offers a little pop and speed and has performed quite well so far, considering the relatively short sample size.
Pitchers
*73% SP Trevor Rogers, Baltimore Orioles- Good peripherals back up his excellent performance through 8 starts so far, with 4 of those being wins. Could he be a late bloomer?
60% SP Eric Lauer, Toronto Blue Jays- Although his peripherals suggest he has been playing over his head, Lauer has done a phenomenal job of limiting walks this season. He is up to 6 wins now, with back-to-back wins in his past two appearances, and 3 of his past 4 have been quality starts.
*56% SP Joe Boyle, Tampa Bay Rays- Looks like he’s back in a starting role! He’s a monster. Grab him wherever you can and add him to your lineups!
49% SP Brandon Walter, Houston Astros- Has only walked 4 hitters over his 9 starts this year and has some good peripheral stats. Back from the IL now and just pitched a 7-inning gem in his last start, which was against Arizona.
20% RP Kevin Ginkel, Arizona Diamondbacks- Could be the closer now that Shelby Miller is out.
