This Weeks Record: 0-0
Last Weeks Record: 8-6-3
Past Four Weeks Record: 42-27-5
Tanner Bibee MORE than 5 Strikeouts
This number seems low tonight when you consider how consistent Bibee has been in recording punchouts. He has at least six in nine of his past ten games and seven or more in seven of the ten games. Of course, with the all-star break coming and going, he hasn’t started a game in nine days, so he will be fresh tonight and should be able to go 6 or more innings, which will give him plenty of time to rack up big strikeout numbers.
Elly De La Cruz MORE than 6 Fantasy Points
Elly had a strong finish to the first half of the season as he entered the all-star break on a seven-game hitting streak, including an XBH in five of the seven games. Elly is the league leader in SB this season as well, which gives him a big boost when it comes to his fantasy points. Even something as simple as a walk and a steal will give Elly more than six points tonight, but there is potential for so much more as he is in a prime matchup against Patrick Corbin, who is 1-9 this season with a 5.57 ERA and 1.53 WHIP.
Salvador Perez MORE than 6.5 Fantasy Points
Like Elly, Perez has a strong finish to the first half of the season. He entered the all-star break on an eight-game hitting streak and smacked three HR in his final six games. He hits in the middle of the Royals lineup, which gives him plenty of RBI opportunities, which will be beneficial tonight in a game where the Royals should score plenty of runs. They will take on Chris Flexen, who has a 4.83 ERA this season and a 1.37 WHIP. The White Sox, as a pitching staff, rank as one of the worst in MLB as well, entering tonight ranked 27th in ERA, 28th in WHIPand 27th in HR allowed.
Trea Turner MORE than 1.5 Total Bases
Turner is having a tremendous season in 2024 despite missing over a month of the season. He is batting .349 with a .395 OBP, 11 HR, 12 SB, 49 runs, and 32 RBI in 57 games. He finished the first half with five multi-hit games in his final seven and smashed four HR during that stretch. He faces Martin Perez tonight, who is 1-5 this season with a 5.16 ERA and 1.62 WHIP, so I am liking his chances to come out of the break and continue his hot hitting.
