Doc discusses Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice and who he likes more at their ADP

The following was written by Pete Sweeney who has covered the Kansas City Chiefs for the past 10+ years:
“The Chiefs continue to ramp WR Xavier Worthy up, as he was the target of all three of Patrick Mahomes’ passes in the first 7-on-7 period and one of the three targets in the red-zone 7-on-7 period. Worthy caught two of the four passes from Mahomes, including one for a touchdown.”

One of my subscribers recently asked about drafting Rashee Rice this season. I told him to take Worthy instead. Many of you remember that I was all-in on Rice in 2023. I told you he was an excellent route runner who could shred zone defenses. He started the year off slowly, but was an integral part of winning fantasy rosters by the end of the year.

However, this season I am a huge fan of Worthy at his Round 9 ADP than I am of Rice in Round 7. Worthy has terrific speed and I think arguably has better hands than WR 1 Hollywood Brown. The thing that will hold Worthy back will be his basic understanding of the route tree. Once he masters this, the sky’s the limit for him playing with Patrick Mahomes.
