1. Auburn — Statement win over Tennessee.

2. Alabama — I don’t know what Nate Oats is doing with his rotations, but it keeps working.

3. Florida — Much better team at home than on the road, particularly on the defensive end.

4. Tennessee — Have to get their guards back in form.

5. Kentucky — Koby Brea breakout game against Tennessee.

6. Ole Miss — gritty comeback win over Texas.

7. Texas — Tre Johnson is one heck of a shot-maker.

8. Mississippi State — Close but no cigar against Alabama.

9. Texas A&M — Wade Taylor is the heartbeat of the team.

10. Missouri — Tamar Bates with the game of his career against Ole Miss.

11. Vanderbilt — I think the AD will happily pay the fine for another court-storming.

12. Georgia — Asa Newell is going to make a great NBA player.

13. Oklahoma — have only beaten the bottom dwellers in the conference.

14. LSU — Competitive but not winning games.

15. Arkansas — Could they be better without Boogie Fland?

16. South Carolina — So close to getting that first SEC win against Mississippi State.
