MLB: The MVP For Every Team In May

The month of May is quickly coming to a close in MLB. So here is my pick for every team’s May MVP:

Baltimore Orioles – SS Gunnar Henderson

Henderson has had an outstanding month since returning from the IL. 

Boston Red Sox – DH Rafael Devers

Devers has settled into the DH spot and has been raking in May.

New York Yankees – OF Aaron Judge

Judge has been the best hitter in baseball all season. 

Tampa Bay Rays – 2B Brandon Lowe

He has shown off the power this month and has a solid OBP. 

Toronto Blue Jays – SP Kevin Gausman

Gausman has pitched like an ace this month, and the Jays need that to continue.

Chicago White Sox – OF Luis Robert

There isn’t much good to say about the White Sox, but Robert is swiping a ton of bases. 

Cleveland Guardians – 3B Jose Ramirez

He has been raking in May, with an elite OBP, AVG, and power numbers. 

Detroit Tigers – SP Tarik Skubal

He is the best pitcher in baseball and has shown that this month.

He continues to be the Royals ace. 

Minnesota Twins – OF Byron Buxton

Before his injury, he was on fire and helped lead the Twins to a 13-game win streak. 

Athletics – OF Brent Rooker

Rooker continues to be a consistent force in the middle of the A’s lineup. 

Houston Astros – SP Hunter Brown

He is pitching like a Cy Young candidate. 

Los Angeles Angels – C Logan O’Hoppe

He has hit for a ton of power this month. So has his teammate Taylor Ward who also could be the MVP. 

Seattle Mariners – C Cal Raleigh

He continues to mash the baseball, leading all catchers in HR. 

Texas Rangers – SP Nathan Eovaldi

This could have been deGrom as well, both pitchers have been fantastic for Texas. 

Atlanta Braves – 1B Matt Olson

Olson has found his HR swing this month. 

Miami Marlins – OF Kyle Stowers

He is not only the Marlins best player, but he’s been one of the better offensive players in the NL. 

New York Mets – SP Kodai Senga

Senga has been amazing all season, but in the month of May he was the best player on the Mets.

Luzardo is pitching like an ace. 

Washington Nationals – OF James Wood

Wood is one of the bright spots for the Nats and is a future NL MVP.

He has been one of the best players in baseball in May.  

Cincinnati Reds – SS Elly De La Cruz

Elly is one of the most dynamic players in the sport.

Turang is hitting for average and swiping bags. 

Pittsburgh Pirates – SP Paul Skenes

His team is awful, but Skenes is still one of the best pitchers in the league.

Since returning from the IL, Herrera has been hitting the cover off the baseball.

He is one of the best players in the league.

He has been one of the lone bright spots for a terrible team. 

San Diego Padres – 3B Manny Machado

Machado has been one of the top hitters in the NL.

Webb is a true ace and is leading a talented Giants rotation.

His numbers in May are off the charts, and he could be looking at an NL player of the month award.
