MLB: Shortstop Power Rankings

The 2025 season is heating up, with many players stating their case on their respective league’s All-Star rosters. Below is a breakdown of Week 9’s top 10 shortstops:

1. Elly De La Cruz, Cincinnati Reds

De La Cruz is making his push to be the NL All-Star’s starting shortstop, slashing .251/.324/.415 with eight home runs, 31 RBI, and 15 stolen bases.

2. Francisco Lindor, New York Mets

Lindor is slashing .290/.356/.481 with nine home runs, 28 RBI, and six stolen bases.

3. Mookie Betts, Los Angeles Dodgers

Betts continues to produce in the Dodgers’ lineup with six home runs, 28 RBI, five stolen bases, and 37 runs scored.

4. Bobby Witt Jr., Kansas City Royals

Witt Jr. is on track to be the AL All-Star starting shortstop, slashing .309/.379/.519 with five home runs, 25 RBI, and 16 stolen bases.

5. Dansby Swanson, Chicago Cubs

Swanson’s 2024 rebound is underway as he’s reached 10 home runs, 26 RBI, and six stolen bases.

6. CJ Abrams, Washington Nationals

Abrams is on pace for a career-year, slashing .301/.360/.522 with six home runs, 16 RBI, and nine stolen bases.

7. Jacob Wilson, Athletics

The rookie has slashed .333/.366/.471 with five home runs and 26 RBI. His 58 hits are tied for second in MLB.

8. Geraldo Perdomo, Arizona Diamondbacks

Perdomo is slashing .299/.402/.471 with five home runs and MLB shortstop-leading 34 RBI.

The Yankees’ shortstop has six home runs, 25 RBI, and seven stolen bases.
