MLB: Predicting The Next 10 American League Champions

With the MLB season about to begin, I thought it would be a fun exercise to take a look into the future and predict the next 10 American League Champions:

2025: Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox have an elite lineup, improved rotation, and bullpen, and elite prospects that are MLB-ready. There is no true power house in the AL right now either, which gives them an even better chance.

2026: Detroit Tigers

They already have one of the best pitching staffs in the AL, and over the next 1-2 years, their young hitters will take the next step as well. They will also add more offense this season and next offseason.

2027: Baltimore Orioles

They have been one of the better young teams in MLB for a couple of years now but still lack pitching depth in the rotation. Over the next couple of years they will build on that and be World Series bound.

2028: New York Yankees

They are always a contender because of the amount of money they can spend and they will still have Aaron Judge leading the way.

2029: Las Vegas Athletics

They have been bad for a while now, but they are building something in the minor leagues, and once they actually arrive in Vegas, they will spend money in free agency, too.

2030: New York Yankees

This will be the Aaron Judge farewell season. Although he will still be under contract, this will be the final year before he starts declining too much. The Yankees will surround him with big-time talent for one last World Series run.

2031: Chicago White Sox

They have a very good farm system currently and they continue to be one of the worst teams in the league. By 2031 though, their elite prospects will be established big leaguers and the top picks they continue to get will be ready to join them and make an impact.

2032: Kansas City Royals

Bobby Witt Jr. will eventually lead this Royals franchise to a World Series and this will be the year.

2033: Tampa Bay Rays

The Rays don’t spend much money, so for them to be AL champs, they will need to do it by building through the draft and making big trades. Luckily for them, they excel at that, and they will be atop the league once again.

2034: Boston Red Sox

Since 2004, the Red Sox seem to get to a World Series every 3-6 years so if they get there in 2025, it will be considered a long drought for them before returning in 2034.
