10. Aaron Rodgers Super Bowl XLV
Aaron Rodgers put up an impressive statline of 304 yards and 3 touchdowns against the top defense in the 2010 season, the Steelers who only gave up 14.5 points per game to their opponents. Rodgers had to play some of his best ball going against 2 defensive players of the year in Troy Polomalu and James Harrison. He did so leading the Packers to their first Super Bowl win since 1997.
9. Joe Montana Super Bowl XXIII
Joe Montana had the ball with 3 minutes left down 13-16 against the Bengals in the big game, and like always he delivered. Finding john Taylor in the endzone and throwing a dart to get him the ball and win the game. To go along with this touchdown he had 357 yards and another touchdown pass.
8. Tom Brady Super Bowl XLIX
Coming into this game the Seahawks “Legion of Boom” defense was historically great with an amazing secondary and a great pass rush. A tough defense to crack but Tom Brady and the Patriots did their best. Tom Brady put up 328 yards 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Despite those 2 interception the patriots were still able to put up 28 points and come out with a victory in an all time great Super Bowl.
7. Eli Manning Super Bowl XLII
Eli Manning stat line of 255 yards 2 touchdowns and 1 interception is not the impressive part of his performance, rather his clutch gene and his ability to make plays when they mattered most versus one of the greatest teams of all time. Mannings improvisation and playmaking abilities lead the Giants to a win over the undefeated New England Patriots.
6. Patrick Mahomes Super Bowl LVIII
Patrick Mahomes was excellent in this highly anticipated Super Bowl where he had 399 yards of Total offense, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. He played his best when it mattered most and he led the chiefs on a game tying drive to go to overtime and the game winning drive in overtime. He played great and his 66 rush yards were crucial to winning the game.
5. Terry Bradshaw Super Bowl XIII
Terry Bradshaw had an outstanding game against the Cowboys in Super Bowl XIII, he threw for 318 yards and 4 touchdowns and brought the Steelers to victory. What makes this so special is the fact that Terry Bradshaw called his own plays and still had an amazing performance against a top defense.
4. Phil Simms Super Bowl XXI
Phil Simms absolutely lit up the Broncos in their game; he threw for 268 yards and 3 touchdowns while completing 22 of 25 attempts in the game. This is the definition of efficiency for a quarterback, and he guided the Giants to a massive Super Bowl win.
3. Joe Montana Super Bowl XXIV
Joe Montana was Exquisite in the utter domination of the Broncos, he had 297 yards, 5 touchdowns and 0 turnovers. This impressive performance looks amazing on the stat sheet and in the game. This 4th Super Bowl for Montana was meaningful and solidified him as the greatest of his generation.
2. Steve Young Super Bowl XXIX
Steve Young and the 49ers offense completely overwhelmed the Chargers in this high-scoring contest. Young threw for 6 touchdowns to go along with his 325 yards. This was a dominant win by a dominant team with the 49ers; Young was elite in this game to put his stamp on it.
1. Tom Brady Super Bowl LI
In one of the most famous Super Bowls of all time, Tom Brady brought the Patriots from down 28-3 in this historic comeback. Tom Brady had 466 yards and 2 touchdowns while having the greatest comeback in NFL history. He not only came back but had the game-winning drive in overtime on a pass to James White, which possibly solidified Tom Brady as the Goat of the sport.
