It is the most important position in the NFL, and without a good one or the right one, you simply cannot win. Here are 5 QBs that need to be replaced so their current teams can succeed.
Aaron Rodgers
He’s 41, can’t move, and can’t win football games. The Jets are going to start over with a new GM and a new head coach. Why not a new quarterback?
Derek Carr
Talk about being overpaid. Carr got a bag of money to go to New Orleans and hasn’t had a game where he’s thrown for more than 269 passing yards all season. A new regime will likely want to bring in a new quarterback who is cheaper and has an upside. Can you blame them?
Kirk Cousins
Cousins is a master at throwing against Cover Zero, but the problem is that most teams in the NFL play a zone scheme. He has zero touchdowns and six interceptions over the past three games and has looked awful. Michael Penix is waiting in the wings. It might be time to see what he can do.
Kyler Murray
Murray has only thrown for multiple touchdowns in two of the teams 12 games. He’s incredibly inconsistent and seems to flounder in big games (Seattle and Minnesota). Arizona has tremendous skill players on offense. Maybe it’s Murray who is holding them back?
Tua Tagovailoa
Yes, Tua is accurate, but he’s incredibly fragile. One more concussion, and his career might be over. Miami won’t want to move on, but if they don’t, they need to either draft his replacement or bring in a solid backup.
