This Weeks Record: 5-6-1

Last Weeks Record: 12-8

Past Nine Weeks Record: 93-67-7

William Contreras MORE than 7 Fantasy Points

Contreras is the best-hitting catcher in MLB this season. Like any player, he may go through slumps at times, but for the most part, he produces points on nearly a nightly basis. Over the past 14 days, he is batting .340 with five HR, 10 RBI, and nine runs scored. He has been great in the first two games of this current series against the Cardinals, too, with five hits in two games, including two doubles and an RBI in each game. Today, he has the best matchup he has had all week, facing Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas, who has a 5.41 ERA and 1.29 WHIP this season. Mikolas has been even worse lately, allowing 14 ER in his past three starts, totaling just 13.2 innings.

Luis Severino MORE than 4 Strikeouts

Severino is coming off his best start of the year. He threw a complete game shutout while striking out eight Marlins. Tonight, his matchup is more difficult, taking on the Padres, who currently hold down a wild card spot in the National League. Still, Severino has struck out four or more batters in six of his past seven starts and has struck out six or more in four of the seven starts. As long as this number stays at 4, there’s a good chance he tops it and certainly can tie it for a push.

Christopher Sanchez LESS than 4.5 Strikeouts

Sanchez has pitched really well this season for the first-place Phillies, but his strikeout totals are well below a K per inning. He has struck out only 108 hitters in 140.1 innings, and lately, he has struck out four or fewer batters in five of his past six starts. Taking back even further, over his past 13 starts, he topped 4.5 strikeouts only four times. So if you bet the under, like tonight, in every one of those games, you would be 9-4 betting on the prop since June 4th.
