This Weeks Record: 9-5-1

George Kirby MORE than 6 Strikeouts

Kirby has been excellent this season and is in a prime matchup tonight against the Marlins, who rank 28th in runs and 29th in OBP and SLG. Kirby has at least six strikeouts in three of his past four starts, and based on his matchup tonight, he should make it four of five.

Carlos Rodon LESS than 7 Strikeouts

Rodon has pitched pretty well for the Yankees this season, but his strikeout totals are down from years past. He is under a strikeout per inning through his 15 starts this season and has a tough matchup against the Braves tonight. It is also worth noting that Rodon has only reached seven strikeouts three times in his past nine starts.

Lourdes Gurriel MORE than 5.5 Fantasy Points

Gurriel has heated up over the past ten days, and we took advantage of this earlier in the week. Tonight, I want to again, as Gurriel has put together three straight multi-hit games and faces a struggling pitcher, Taijuan Walker. Walker has a 5.33 ERA and 1.45 WHIP this season and is the one weak spot in the Phillies rotation.

Jack Flaherty MORE than 6 Strikeouts

Flaherty has a great matchup tonight against one of the worst offenses in MLB, the White Sox. He has reached six or more strikeouts in 10 of his past 11 starts, so the numbers indicate that he should be able to reach it again here. He has 100 Ks in 77.2 innings this year and has been one of the top strikeout pitchers in the American League.
