This Weeks Record: 4-5-2
Last Weeks Record: 11-8
Past Three Weeks Record: 34-21-2
Jose Altuve MORE than 0.5 Runs
Altuve bats lead-off for the Astros, which always puts him in a position to score runs. He has at least one hit in 13 of his past 15 games and nine multi-hit games during that time. It should come as no surprise that he has scored 13 runs during that time. Tonight, he is in a good matchup against Roddery Munoz, who has allowed seven HR in his past four starts and has a 5.48 ERA with a 1.47 WHIP this season.
Shane Baz MORE than 5 Strikeouts
Baz has only made one start this season after missing an entire year. It came on the road against the defending World Champs, and he faired pretty well, striking out six over six innings of work. Tonight he is at home and taking on a Yankees team that has fallen on hard times, so this is a matchup that he should flourish in. He should be able to hit five strikeouts in five or less innings.
Max Fried LESS than 5 Strikeouts
Fried is a good pitcher, but strikeouts aren’t his strong suit. He has 88 in 102 innings this season, and lately, the K’s have been even harder to come by. Fried has four or fewer strikeouts in four of his past five starts, which makes it hard for me to believe he will get six tonight, which is what he will need for us to lose this prop. He goes up against the defending NL Champs in Arizona, which is not a good matchup for him, as they are the second-highest-scoring team in the National League.
Elly De La Cruz MORE than 0.5 Runs
Elly is in a great matchup tonight against Rockies SP Austin Gomber. Gomber has allowed at least four ER in five of his past six starts and has allowed 45 hits in his past 34 innings. Elly bats second in the Reds lineup ahead of some solid run producers, and his elite speed allows him to turn a walk or single into a double or triple. I like his chances of getting at least one run in a game where the Reds should score plenty.
