NFL: Free Agency Report Card Grades For Every Team

After a very busy beginning to NFL free agency, we have given each team a grade based on how they did. Let us know your thoughts on how your team did and/or about how every team did:

Arizona Cardinals—A

Arizona added Josh Sweat, Dalvin Tomlinson, and a few others to improve their shoddy defense.

Atlanta Falcons—C-

Leonard Floyd and Divine Deablo are a good start, but Atlanta needs more to compete for the NFC South.

Baltimore Ravens—B

Resigning Ronnie Stanley was worth a B by itself.

Buffalo Bills—A+

Buffalo added multiple pass rushers and, more importantly, resigned Josh Allen and Khalil Shakir.

Carolina Panthers–B

Rico Dowdle should pair nicely with Chuba Hubbard, and they improved their defense as well.

Chicago Bears—A

Chicago addressed its OL issues in an outstanding way.

Cincinnati Bengals—A

They will likely lose Trey Hendrickson, but getting Chase, Higgins, and Gesicki signed will be tremendous.

Cleveland Browns—C

Only getting this grade because they figured out a way to keep Myles Garrett.

Dallas Cowboys—F

Jerry being Jerry.

Denver Broncos—A+

I love their defensive additions, and adding Evan Engram will help the development of Bo Nix.

Detroit Lions—C

D.J. Reed is a great addition, but they didn’t do much else.

Green Bay Packers—C

Quality over quantity. Hobbs is a rock-solid defender.

Houston Texans—INC

They made some bold trades, so I need to see how the draft goes before the final grade comes in. Like them adding Christian Kirk.

Indianapolis Colts—C-

Willing to bump this to a C+ if Daniel Jones beats out Anthony Richardson.

Jacksonville Jaguars—D-

Moving on from Kirk and Engram to Dyami Brown and Johnny Mundt feels like a huge downgrade.

Kansas City Chiefs—B

Re-signing Nick Bolton was key for the Kansas City defense

Las Vegas Raiders—B

HENDERSON, NEVADA – JUNE 10: A team logo is shown above the entrance at the 336,000-square-foot Las Vegas Raiders Headquarters/Intermountain Healthcare Performance Center under construction on June 10, 2020 in Henderson, Nevada. The site will serve as the team’s practice facility and will include three outdoor football fields, a 150,000-square-foot field house with one-and-a-half indoor football fields, a three-story office area, and a 50,000-square-foot performance center. I LOVE the defensive additions, but the Raiders need to figure out the offense in a hurry.

Los Angeles Chargers—B

Harbaugh improves the OL and DL. Najee Harris and Mike Williams are great additions to the offense, too.

Los Angeles Rams—C-

Why sign Davante Adams if you already had Cooper Kupp, who is cheaper? Plus, how is Tutu Atwell worth $10 million?

Miami Dolphins—F

Wondering why GM Chris Grier still has a job.

Minnesota Vikings—A+

Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota. (Photo by Hannah Foslien/Getty Images)

Outstanding job adding two tremendous pieces to the OL. Plus, Jonathan Allen will bring havoc to the defensive front.

New England Patriots—A-

Milton Williams, Carlton Davis, and Harold Landry will help the New England defense immediately.

New Orleans Saints—D-

Not sure anyone wants to play in New Orleans.

New York Giants—B

Great additions to the defense, but still need a QB, OL, and WR

New York Jets—B

Jamien Sherwood was a must re-sign on defense, and signing Justin Fields keeps Garrett Wilson happy, which is critical.

Philadelphia Eagles—INC

Love getting deals for Zack Baun and Saquon. Now Roseman has 12 picks out of the first 100 in the upcoming draft.

Pittsburgh Steelers—C

It feels like Mike Tomlin is changing his entire philosophy to keep the boobirds happy.

San Francisco 49ers—C-

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – DECEMBER 17: A detail view of a San Francisco 49ers logo is seen on a helmet in action during a game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium on December 17, 2023 in Glendale, Arizona. (Photo by Robin Alam/ISI Photos/Getty Images)

Feels like the 49ers moved pieces to load up in the draft. Mac Jones is a nice backup QB as Shanahan has always been high on him.

Seattle Seahawks—C

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON – OCTOBER 29: The Seattle Seahawks throwback logo is seen on the football field at Lumen Field before the game against the Cleveland Browns on October 29, 2023 in Seattle, Washington. (Photo by Steph Chambers/Getty Images)

The Sam Darnold deal is for three years, but Seattle can get out of it after one. Like bringing Cooper Kupp back to his home state.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers—B-

Bringing Chris Godwin back is worth a C+ by itself. If Haason Reddick shows passion for the game again, this could end up being a grade higher.

Tennessee Titans—B+

NASHVILLE, TN – NOVEMBER 27: The Tennessee Titans logo at the 50-yard line prior to NFL football game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Nissan Stadium on November 27, 2022 in Nashville, . (Photo by Perry Knotts/Getty Images)

Lots of “football guys” here, which is good since Tennessee needs to change its culture if they want to win.

Washington Commanders–A

LANDOVER, MD – JANUARY 01: A general view of the Washington Commanders logo on the stadium concourse before the game between the Washington Commanders and the Cleveland Browns at FedExField on January 1, 2023 in Landover, Maryland. (Photo by Scott Taetsch/Getty Images)

There is a lot of risk with giving up all those draft picks, but the time is now in Washington as they have Daniels on a rookie deal.
