Two Minute Drill

  • QB Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh Steelers – The second-year QB will start for the Steelers today, but he will not be 100%. Pickett’s knee is still bothering him, so you can expect him to make his living as a pocket passer today.

  • RB Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts – After signing a 3 year/$42 million contract extension yesterday, Taylor will be active for the first time this season. The All-Pro RB will play against the Titans, but Taylor will split carries with Zack Moss. You can expect Taylor to reclaim his workhorse role in the coming weeks once he eases his way back into Indy’s offense.

  • RB Saquon Barkley, New York Giants – The Giants will be without Saquon Barkley for a third straight game. I would not pivot to Matt Breida or Gary Brightwell as neither player has stepped up to replace Barkley. The Giants will likely be playing from behind against Miami as well, so I would not expect a lot of rushing yards from the Giants today.

  • RB Jahmyr Gibbs & WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions – Both players have been ruled out for today’s game against the Panthers. WR Jameson Williams will be active after serving his suspension, but he is only expected to play 20 snaps. This leaves a lot of carries and targets available for WR Josh Reynolds and RB David Montgomery. TE Sam LaPorta should also see an increased target share.

  • WR Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals – Higgins is not expected to play against the Cardinals. Joe Burrow will likely try to force the ball to Ja’Marr Chase with Higgins out, but Tyler Boyd should receiver some of Higgins’ targets.
