Today at 2 p.m. EST on SiriusXM, I will be participating in the FSGA Central League Experts Draft. There are four FSGA drafts with 14 experts each, and there are 16 rounds in each draft. Starting lineups consist of 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 K and 1 Defense.
One thing I have stressed over the years is to take only one quarterback and one tight end in 16-Round drafts. I follow this rule especially in 14-team leagues, as I know the depth at RB and WR is very thin. I want to take as many players at those positions during the draft, as they will be much harder to get during the season when FABB bidding goes through the roof.
When today’s draft is over, my team will likely look have the following construction:
- 1 QB
- 6 RB
- 6 WR
- 1 TE
- 1 K
- 1 Defense
The only possible change I foresee is if I choose to take five RBs instead of six. If I do that, I will add another WR or TE (only if one I can’t pass up is on the board).
I encourage you to follow the draft on SiriusXM, or on Twitter @FSGAtweets. I will go over my team on Thursday so you can get an idea of my thought process and see why I made certain decisions.
Let’s go!!!
