The Soup Can of the Week | UFC Shanghai: Walker vs. Zhang
Imagine a dented, old soup can on the shelf. Now picture it in the discount aisle. Those are the soup cans nobody wants, the ones that took a beating. At one point before they fell off the shelf, we all bought in. Now we realize that soup wasn’t ever that good. In boxing a tomato can is the fighter that takes those beatings. Gets beat up, and never recovers. Becoming a shell of their former selves. In MMA and on the Fight Club of Pain we call them Soup Cans. This is my soup can of the week for UFC Fight Night 257.
Brian Ortega (FD $10 | DK $7,200)
Brian Ortega has all the potential to be one of the best in the world. Lately T-City hasn’t been living up to that potential. Whether he’s getting pieced up by Max Holloway or destroyed by Diego Lopes, he’s lost whatever momentum he’s had. Ortega’s fighting career is going down the tubes in front of our eyes, and there’s nothing we can do about it. Once a fan favorite becomes a shell of himself, he goes with the discount cans. Welcome to the soup club Brian Ortega. I’m taking Sterling by decision which is a +105 at the moment and will keep Ortega’s losing streak going. Also, If you parlay the moneyline and distance, you’ll get a -108, right now.
