Top MLB Prop Picks 4/18

Adolis Garcia MORE Than 0.5 Runs

Adolis is having a terrific first few weeks of the season. He’s batting .304 with a .359 OBP, four HRs, four doubles, four SBs, 13 runs, and 17 RBIs. His extra-base-hit ability means he either puts himself in scoring position or drives himself in often, and, of course, the ability to steal bases also means he can turn a single into a double or triple and put himself in scoring position that way. He and the Rangers also face Kenta Maeda today, who has a 6.00 ERA this season through his first three starts.

Ketel Marte MORE Than 7 Fantasy Points

Marte is on a serious hot streak at the plate right now. Baseball is about as streaky of a game as any, so when a player is hot, I typically like to ride the wave. Over his past two games, Marte has seven hits, two HRs, four runs, and three RBIs. He hits in the leadoff spot for the Diamondbacks and usually sees five at bats per game, which of course gives him more opportunities to rack up fantasy points.

Mike Trout MORE Than 7 Fantasy Points

Trout is turning back the clock in 2024. Although it’s still early, he looks like his younger self in the early going. He leads all of MLB with eight HRs entering play today and has 11 RBIs, three SBs, one double, and two triples through his first 18 games. In his heyday, there was no better hitter than Mike Trout. He was a threat to have a huge night every night, and that appears to be the case once again. He will face Rays SP Ryan Pepiot tonight, who has made three starts so far this season. One of the starts was excellent, in the other two, though, Pepiot allowed 10 ER, gave up three HR, and walked five batters. Trout and the Angels should have a good night.
