Hitters
*79% 1B Nick Kurtz, Oakland Athletics- Last call to scoop if he hasn’t already been taken!
*68% OF Chandler Simpson, Tampa Bay Rays- Insane speed. Could become who we were hoping Billy Hamilton would. He has a hit in all 6 games since his call-up and has stolen 2 bases. Last call to scoop if he isn’t owned yet.
*67% 3B Noelvi Marte, Cincinnati Reds- He’s looking more like the stud he was when he first came up with power and speed. Last call to grab.
*67% 2B Jorge Polanco, Seattle Mariners- Should be owned everywhere. He could be great all year if he can stay healthy (a big if).
67% 3B, SS, OF Zach McKinstry, Detroit Tigers- Phenomenal triple positional eligibility and has been great so far. Peripherals show nothing amazing, but he is exhibiting great plate discipline. Nice 5-game hitting streak.
64% OF Mike Yastrzemski, San Francisco Giants- Was a popular add last week. Awesome start to the season and hitting leadoff now.
*59% C, 1B Augustin Ramirez, Miami Marlins—He has hit the ground running since his callup and has multiple hits in his first 3 games. It’s looking like he’ll be the starting catcher, and he offers significant upside.
58% 2B Luke Keaschall, Minnesota Twins- He had a hit in every game and fractured his forearm. Worth stashing on IL if possible.
56% 2B, SS Luisangel Acuna, New York Mets- Already has 6 steals, but playing time is uncertain.
51% 2B, 3B Gabriel Arias, Cleveland Guardians- Could be a sneaky power source, but does strike out a lot.
48% 1B, OF Gavin Sheets, San Diego Padres- Pretty good so far, but needs to improve his plate discipline. Plays most of the time, but not all the time.
*45% OF Austin Hays, Cincinnati Reds- Has started the season on fire and is encouragingly showing pretty good plate discipline of late.
45% OF Trent Grisham, New York Yankees- Hitting leadoff lately and also hit a couple of bombs in his past few games!
43% SS Brooks Lee, Minnesota Twins- Filling in for Correa while he is out. He hasn’t done much yet, but he is a good hitter and could be at least valuable in the short term.
*38% 1B, 3B Eric Wagaman, Miami Marlins- Currently playing daily, high in the lineup, and hitting very well. Has shown great plate discipline. Rocking a very impressive 12-game hitting streak!
37% 1B Ty France, Minnesota Twins- A sneaky good hitter playing daily. Could be a difference maker in mid to deep leagues and is widely available. Getting a bit unlucky right now.
37% C Edgar Quero, Chicago White Sox- A very good hitting prospect who just debuted and should get a lot of playing time.
*34% OF Jordan Beck, Colorado Rockies- Holy power surge, Batman! Beck has a whopping 5 homers over his past 3 games and stole his 4th base. He has significant power and speed upside if he can maintain decent plate discipline.
34% JP Crawford, Seattle Mariners- 5-game hitting streak with very good plate discipline. Plays up a bit in OBP leagues if you need help in that category, but doesn’t offer much power or speed.
31% OF Jake Meyers, Houston Astros- Already has 7 steals and could be a good speed source in deeper leagues. In a big cold spell recently, though.
29% OF Alek Thomas, Arizona Diamondbacks- Is getting playing time and has breakout potential. Still very available.
25% 1B, 2B Tim Tawa, Arizona Diamondbacks—He has been superb filling in for Ketel Marte, but his playing time is uncertain once Marte returns.
17% 2B, OF Brooks Baldwin, Chicago White Sox- Scrappy hitter who offers a little pop and speed despite playing for an awful team.
Pitchers
79% SP Andrew Abbott, Cincinnati Reds- 5 walks in his last start is exactly what we don’t want to see. He’s been great so far overall, but this is frustrating. Hopefully it’s just a blip. Either way, last call to grab.
78% SP Andrew Heaney, Pittsburgh Pirates- Pitching very well so far and could be good for owners if he keeps the walks down. Zero walks and 9 K’s in his last start are very encouraging. Likely the last call to scoop.
77% SP Matthew Boyd, Chicago Cubs- His velocity is up, but his stuff is down. Tough to get a read on right now. Struggled a lot in his last start.
73% SP Jake Irvin, Washington Nationals- Rocking an impressive 3.19 ERA, 1.009 WHIP, and perhaps most impressively, has 2 wins despite pitching for the Nats.
72% SP Hayden Wesneski, Houston Astros—He has been pretty good over five starts now and is getting a lot of swings and misses. He could be a solid asset if he can keep it up. However, his value is limited due to the poor Astros’ run production so far.
66% RP Luke Jackson, Texas Rangers- Might blow up at some point, but is worth owning for now. He is the current closer for Texas, already has 8 saves and has only blown one save, but understand that he appears to be playing over his head right now.
56% SP Andre Pallante, St. Louis Cardinals- Deceivingly good pitcher due to his absurdly high groundball rate (near 70%). Could help owners rack up wins without sacrificing too much in the ratio. Unfortunately, he has been crumby in his past couple of starts.
56% RP Camilo Doval, San Francisco- Now tied with Ryan Walker for saves. It is uncertain who their main guy is right now, if there is one between 2 them.
46% SP Will Warren, New York Yankees- Needs to bring the walks down and has yet to surpass 5 innings. Could be worth holding, though, if you have the roster space. He has pretty good stuff.
*46% RP Emilio Pagan, Cincinnati Reds- As it turns out, Alexis Diaz does not seem to be ready to be the Reds’ closer. Pagan successfully closed out their last 2 opportunities. Hope you held onto him! He’s also still available in more than half of Fantrax leagues.
45% SP Griffin Canning, New York Mets- Solid so far, but WHIP is higher than you like to see. Pretty good whiff rate, but needs to bring down those walks.
32% SP Ryan Gusto, Houston Astros- Has 3 wins despite pitching for the Astros. That says a lot.
31% SP J.T. Ginn, Oakland Athletics- Pretty crumby 3rd start but has some upside.
24% SP, RP Colin Rea, New York Mets- Seems to be transitioning into a starter and is doing quite well so far.
24% RP Will Vest, Detroit Tigers- Grabbed a couple of saves recently and has pitched well thus far.
