Hello everybody, and welcome back to another week of the WWE’s Men’s Power Rankings. With only the Elimination Chamber between now and Wrestlemania, you can bet things are going to heat up once the superstars are set for the chamber.
Also, we will be having a podcast dedicated to the Elimination Chamber on Tuesday, February 24th at 8pm to talk about the event and if there’s a DraftKings pool that week to win some money on. For now, let’s run through the list and get you caught up on some of the most recent storylines. Have a great day, everyone, and may the slams be with you.
10. Logan Paul:
“The Maverick” Logan Paul had another strong showing at the Royal Rumble. He looked great as always and even made it close to the end, showing that the WWE really loves his skill set. Even though Paul lost his chance to get into the Elimination Chamber last week, you can count on him getting another chance soon enough.
9. L.A. Knight:
L.A. Knight returns to the list with his recent push and the injury to Bron Breakker, which has kept Breakker out indefinitely. On RAW last week, Knight defeated Penta and Austin Theory in a qualifying match for the Elimination Chamber. Now that the Megastar is back in the picture, you can expect the next two months to be fire. YEAH!
8. Carmelo Hayes:
Instead of putting up his belt this week, Carmelo Hayes teamed up with Matt Cardona, Apollo Crews, and Ilia Dragunov against Solo Sikoa and the MFTs. In a match that was chaotic at times, the faces quickly found out why people avoid the MFTs by losing the match. I’m sure this week on SmackDown sounds good because now we have a big feud starting with a champion in the middle of it.
7. Dominik Mysterio:
Dominik Mysterio has been limited due to the current storylines the WWE is pushing. However, last week on RAW, Mysterio finally returned to the WWE, which sets up nicely for the Elimination Chamber. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Intercontinental Championship put up for grabs in an Elimination Chamber, but that’s unlikely to happen right now, given the current storylines going on in the WWE.
6. Gunther:
Gunther defeated A.J. Styles in a retirement match for Styles at the Royal Rumble. Since then, he’s been trolling Styles, most recently by coming out to this entrance. This led to a fight after Dragon Lee came out once Gunther started talking badly about the WWE Universe. Since then, Gunther had been cutting promos, but I’m sure he’ll be back to his cunning ways this week.
5. “Main Event” Jey Uso:
Jey and Jimmy Uso defended their WWE Tag Team Championships against the Alpha Academy on RAW last week. In a closely contested match, the Usos were able to survive a late surge by Tozawa to retain their championships after hitting the 1-D to pin Otis. YEET!
4. Roman Reigns:
Roman Reigns made his triumphant return to RAW two weeks after winning the Royal Rumble. After asking the WWE to acknowledge him, C.M. Punk came out to go back and forth with Reigns, which led to Reigns choosing Punk as his Wrestlemania opponent. For now, Reigns will take a break from action, making him a must-see attraction for the WWE.
3. Drew McIntyre:
Drew McIntyre has continued his path of destruction by showing up during Rhodes’ triple-threat match last week on SmackDown. Even though he didn’t inject himself into the matchup, Rhodes couldn’t contain himself and attacked McIntyre anyway. This didn’t change the fact that Rhodes still won, but during the show, McIntyre ran into Trick Williams, whom he warned to stay out of his way.
2. Cody Rhodes:
Cody Rhodes was part of a triple-threat match between Jacob Fatu, Sami Zayn, and himself. Drew McIntyre did come out during this match, in which Rhodes did go after him. Regardless, through all of the shenanigans, Rhodes came out victorious, cashing his ticket in for the Elimination Chamber.
1. C.M. Punk:
C.M. Punk came out to do a promo with Michael Cole, but that was short-lived once Finn Balór came out. Balór demanded a rematch at Elimination Chamber in Chicago, in which Punk accepted. After that, Punk then addressed Roman Reigns and reassured everyone that he isn’t worried about taking a title match before his match with Reigns at Wrestlemania.
