Hello everybody, and welcome back to another week of the WWE’s Men’s Power Rankings. With the Royal Rumble this Saturday, January 31st, we have another great week of wrestling in front of us. Let’s run through the list and get you caught up in some of the storylines. Have a great day, everyone, and may the slams be with you.
10. Logan Paul:
“The Maverick” Logan Paul has turned in his popularity card to be a dominant force within the Vision. Right now, Paul is making waves by being a loose cannon, but that came back to bite them on RAW, when they lost to Penta, Dragon Lee, and Rey Mysterio.
9. Gunther:
Gunther and A.J. Styles had another promo battle in which Gunther told Styles he doesn’t want to pull double-duty during the Royal Rumble. Instead, he said he would consider doing this if Styles put his career on the line.
8. Roman Reigns:
Roman Reigns has taken his normal leave, and at this time of the year, it shouldn’t surprise anyone. With the Royal Rumble in a few weeks, you can expect that Reigns will show up sooner rather than later. Later, not seeing him until the countdown strikes zero, and we hear his music hit as he walks to the ring for the Royal Rumble.
7. Drew McIntyre:
Drew McIntyre continued his menacing ways by interfering in the match against Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu. On top of that, he will now have to face Sami Zayn, after Zayn won the Fatal 4-way match to see who McIntyre will be facing in his first title defense.
6. Carmelo Hayes:
Carmelo Hayes continued the tradition of the U.S. Championship by defending it once again on SmackDown. This week, he defended his title against Ilja Dragunov in another amazing match that stole the show. In the end, Hayes retained his championship over the ex-champion due to interference from the Miz.
5. Dominik Mysterio:
Dominik Mysterio has continued his reign of terror with Judgment Day again, but for me, this still feels like it could be short-lived. Even with Liv Morgan coming back to inject some gusto to the group, I still feel that this is the final swan song and could erupt in everyone’s face if it leads to Mysterio losing his title.
4. Bron Breakker:
Bron Breakker and the Vision lost their triple-threat match last week on RAW due to the team of Penta, Dragon Lee, and Rey Mysterio getting hold of Paul’s brass knuckles that entered the match. Going forward, this feud is far from over, so expect some more shenanigans tonight once Monday Night RAW starts.
3. “Main Event” Jey Uso:
Jey Uso and his brother Jimmy Uso didn’t get much action last week, but that’s to be expected since they’re gearing up for the Royal Rumble. This week, they should be back to their ways as they get ready to show why the Usos are always main event material. YEET!
2. Cody Rhodes:
Cody Rhodes started Saturday Night’s Main Event off with a match against Jacob Fatu. Even after the bad beef they had on SmackDown, it still didn’t equate to a finish in this match due to Drew McIntyre. You can tell that Rhodes is fed up with McIntyre, but now he has to focus on winning the Royal Rumble.
1. C.M. Punk:
C.M. Punk had a match against Finn Balór in the main event on Monday Night RAW. Balór actually came to the ring alone, showing that he didn’t need the Judgement Day to help him win a match. Both superstars threw it down with many highlights, including Punk kicking out of Coupe de Grace and countering it with the GTS. Afterwards, Punk offered his hand in faith to Balór, which Balór took, leading to a respectable hug in the end.
