With Wrestlepalooza now behind us, we can start looking forward to Survivor Series, which should have some interesting matchups once the card is filled. I have some ideas about that, as you’ll see in some of the writeups below. Also, we have a returning superstar to the list last after his impressive win at Wrestlepalooza. You’ll see who that is and hear about many, many more as we get locked in for another week of our WWE Power Rankings. You’ll also want to remember to check out the latest episode of Through the Turnbuckles, as Crissi Rae, as we gossip about the world of wrestling. Have a great day, everyone, and may the slams be with you.
Cody Rhodes: Cody Rhodes defeated Drew McIntyre to retain his title at Wrestlepalooza on Saturday. Afterwards, Seth Rollins came out for a stare down at the after-show party once Rhodes was done talking. That should be the setup needed for a Smackdown vs. RAW Survivor Series match.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins: Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch lost to C.M. Punk and A.J. Lee in their tag team match on Saturday. I also thought that the match gave all of the wrestlers an opportunity to shine individually. Now that all that beef is done with Punk, we’ll see where this face-off with Rhodes and Rollins goes next.
John Cena: John Cena practically got stomped out by Brock Lesnar, and for once, I have nothing. I assume someone will step up, but after that outing, I can wait for a singles match from Cena. If they do a SmackDown vs. RAW match, which I feel they will, I think we could see Cena wrestle in that, which would allow him to focus on his spots instead of a full match for now.
C.M. Punk: C.M. Punk and A.J. Lee won their match on Saturday against Rollins and Lynch at Wrestlepalooza. For now, I could see them step away because I don’t think Punk is needed for Survivor Series. No matter what, we’ll see soon enough, starting with RAW tonight.
Roman Reigns: Roman Reigns remained off TV and wasn’t needed for Wrestlepalooza this weekend. I do see him being involved with Survivor Series as part of the normal feud he had within his family. Does this mean we see the OTC this week? Only time will tell.
“Main Event” Jey Uso: Jey and Jimmy Uso lost pretty convincingly to Breakker and Reed in their tag team match on Saturday. After what we saw, I feel this opens the door for Reigns’ return. YEET!
Bron Breakker: Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed continued their destructive ways this weekend by defeating the Usos. Going forward, I could easily see both Breakker and Reed being part of Team RAW at Survivor Series.
L.A. Knight: L.A. Knight was the guest referee for the trash team match between the Usos and the Vision this weekend. Knight actually did a great job as the referee and didn’t let his beef with Jey Uso get in the way. YEAH!
Sami Zayn: Sami Zayn defended his U.S. Championship against Carmelo Hayes in Friday Night SmackDown last week. As you would think, Zayn defeated Hayes and is ready for his next opponent this week.
Brock Lesnar: Brock Lesnar defeated John Cena in the opening match at Wrestlepalooza on Saturday. Since I’m bored with having a lot of Samoans on this list, I decided to take Jacob Fatu off for Lesnar. That being said, I would love to see these two superstars go at it, and who knows, we might get it.
