MLB: Second Basemen Power Rankings

MLB has completed its first five weeks, with big storylines ready to take focus. We are approaching the time of the year when numerous players start to find their groove and top prospects start receiving their calls to the Major Leagues. Below is a breakdown of Week 6’s top second basemen.

1. Tommy Edman, Los Angeles Dodgers

Edman continues his hot start, leading MLB second basemen with eight home runs and 19 RBI.

2. Jazz Chisholm, New York Yankees

Chisholm raised his season total to seven home runs, 15 RBI, and six stolen bases.

3. Brice Turang, Milwaukee Brewers

Turang has produced great all-around numbers, slashing .333/.373/.435 with three home runs, 14 RBI, and eight stolen bases.

4. Nico Hoerner, Chicago Cubs

Hoerner has produced for a hot Chicago lineup, slashing .300/.343/.356 with 14 RBI and six stolen bases.

5. Brendan Donovan, St. Louis Cardinals

A major producer in the league’s 5th-best offense, Brendan Donovan is slashing .366/.406/.538 with three home runs and 14 RBI.

6. Ozzie Albies, Atlanta Braves

Yet to reach a hot streak, Albies has still produced four home runs and 12 RBI.

7. Gabriel Arias, Cleveland Guardians

Cleveland’s Arias has been a second base sleeper, slashing .280/.329/.493 with four home runs and 11 RBI.

8. Matt McLain, Cincinnati Reds

Strikeouts have been a concern, but the Reds’ second baseman has four home runs and 10 RBI.

9. Brooks Baldwin, Chicago White Sox

The rookie has quietly slashed .265/.292/.441 with three home runs, 12 RBI, and two stolen bases.

10. Kristian Campbell, Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox have received great production from the rookie as he’s slashing .294/.396/.459 with three home runs and eight RBI.
