MLB has completed its first five weeks, with big storylines ready to take focus. We are approaching the time of the year when numerous players start to find their groove and top prospects start receiving their calls to the Major Leagues. Below is a breakdown of Week 6’s top 10 first basemen.

1. Pete Alonso, New York Mets

Alonso continues his hot streak, raising his totals to six home runs and 26 RBI.

2. Tyler Soderstrom, Athletics

Soderstrom leads MLB’s 4th-ranked offense, slashing .310/.369/.620 with nine home runs and 22 RBI.

3. Spencer Torkelson, Detroit Tigers

Torkelson is heading for a breakout campaign, totaling seven home runs and 21 RBI through 91 at-bats.

4. Michael Busch, Chicago Cubs

The Cubs’ first baseman continues producing, posting five home runs and 16 RBI.

5. Matt Mervis, Miami Marlins

Mervis continues to produce for Miami, having reached seven home runs and 14 RBI through 64 at-bats.

6. Josh Naylor, Arizona Diamondbacks

Hitting in the heart of the order, the first baseman has slashed .310/.381/.490 with four home runs and 17 RBI.

7. Nathaniel Lowe, Washington Nationals

The left-hander has four home runs and is tied for the team lead with 19 RBI.

8. Bryce Harper, Philadelphia Phillies

Harper continues to reach base at a high clip while totaling five home runs and 14 RBI.

9. Matt Olson, Atlanta Braves

Olson went on a tear last week with two home runs and four RBI.

10. Rhys Hoskins, Milwaukee Brewers

Milwaukee’s first baseman is coming out of his slump as he produced a .500/.588/.714 slash line with one home run and four RBI a week ago.
