The first four weeks of the 2025 season are behind us, and numerous players are off to hot starts. As the weather starts heating up across the country, there will be players finally breaking out of early-season slumps and the start of teams calling up their top prospects. Below is a breakdown of the top 10 first basemen in MLB heading into Week 5.
1. Pete Alonso, New York Mets

2. Tyler Soderstrom, Athletics

Everything is clicking for the Tigers’ first baseman as he’s slashing .289/.391/.658 with seven home runs and 21 RBI.

5. Nathaniel Lowe, Washington Nationals

Lowe continues to anchor Washington’s offense and currently stands at three home runs and 16 RBI.
6. Jonathan Aranda, Tampa Bay Rays
