NFL: Mock Drafting The First Round

The NFL Draft is less than two weeks away, and although a lot can change over the coming days, every team still has its own first-rounder. Let us know if you agree or disagree with your team’s choice!

1. Tennessee Titans—QB Cam Ward, Miami

Ward is the closest thing this draft has to a franchise quarterback, and he put on a clinic in his pro day.

2. Cleveland Browns—CB/WR Travis Hunter, Colorado

Hunter is somewhat polarizing as to his true position, but no one can deny his talent.

3. New York Giants—Edge Abdul Carter, Penn State

The Giants passed on Micah Parsons years ago; there is no way they pass on Carter.

4. New England Patriots—OT Will Campbell, LSU

Mike Vrabel knows that protecting Drake Maye will be the key to getting the Patriots back to the playoffs.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars—DT Mason Graham, Michigan

This might be a pick where a team (Chicago?) trades up to get Graham, who is a force on defense.

Pete Carroll knows he needs a running game if he wants any chance of competing.

Aaron Glenn saw first-hand the importance of an imposing OL in Detroit.

Expect Carolina to trade out of this spot as a lot of teams are incredibly high on Walker.

Kellen Moore starts his tenure with the Saints getting a young quarterback that he can build around. Deion has already given his blessing which helps too.

Ben Johnson knows the only way the Bears win is if they protect Caleb Williams.

San Francisco’s defense needs to get more pressure on the quarterback.

This draft is deep at running back so Jerry takes the top WR off the board to pair with Lamb.

Miami needs a shutdown CB badly.

14. Indianapolis Colts—TE Tyler Warren, Penn State

The Colts have been desperate for a TE ever since Dallas Clark retired.

15. Atlanta Falcons—LB Jihaad Campbell, Alabama

Atlanta is ecstatic that Campbell makes it to them at 15.

Stewart has a big-time motor and will help improve the Cardinals pass rush dramatically.

A definite need pick if Cincinnati has playoff aspirations, as Green can get to the quarterback.

Seattle continues to reshape its offense adding an OL who has big time upside.

Starks can be an impact player in Tampa’s secondary.

As soon as Dallas decided to pass on Hampton, Sean Payton makes sure to get the player who can spark the Broncos’ run game.

Pittsburgh moves on from the Aaron Rodgers waiting game to take a young QB with mobility and a solid arm.

Green Bay needs to improve its pass rush.

With all the great passing attacks in their division, Minnesota takes a player who could start relatively quickly.

25. Houston Texans—OT Josh Simmons, Ohio State

Don’t be surprised to see Houston take as many as three OL in this draft.

26. Los Angeles Rams—WR Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State

Egbuka gives Matthew Stafford a slot receiver to replace Cooper Kupp.

Baltimore’s pass rush needs an influx of young talent.

In a QB dominated NFC North, Detroit needs to get more pressure on the opposing quarterback.

Washington needs to replace Jonathan Allen.

Buffalo desperately needs to add a shutdown corner, and Barron is a good one.

Kansas City will be happy to take Golden, but more than likely, they will move down as someone will pay a ransom for him.
