Here are the top 10 Third Baseman in MLB heading into 2025:
1. Jose Ramirez, Cleveland Guardians
Ramirez has been one of the most consistent first-round fantasy draft picks since 2018. He finished 2024 with arguably his best professional season slashing .279/.335/.537 with 39 HR and 41 stolen bases. Fantasy baseball players can draft Ramirez confidently, expecting another 30/30 season with the chance of reaching the 40/40 plateau that he fell one home run short of a season ago.
2. Rafael Devers, Boston Red Sox
If Devers helped in the stolen base department, he could have a back-and-forth rivalry with Jose Ramirez for the #1 spot. Unfortunately, Rafael Devers does not steal a high number of bases, but he is one of the more consistent fantasy third basemen. He finished last season with 28 HR and 83 RBI. His 138 games played were his lowest total since 2022. If he can jump back into the 150+ games played range, he should be expected to hit 40+ HR and drive in 95+ RBI.
3. Austin Riley, Atlanta Braves
2024 was forgettable for Austin Riley. Limited to 110 games, Riley finished the season with 19 HR and 56 RBI. Fully healthy from the broken hand he suffered, Riley should be drafted confidently in the upcoming fantasy baseball drafts. Fantasy baseball players should expect 31+ HR and 90+ RBI.
4. Manny Machado, San Diego Padres
Manny Machado turns 33 in July and has proven to be a consistent fantasy commodity throughout his career. Last season, Machado finished the season with a fourth consecutive season reaching 29+ HR and 91+ RBI. Fantasy baseball players should draft Machado with the expectation he reaches 30+ HR and 100+ RBI.
5. Alex Bregman, Boston Red Sox
Bregman’s ADP seems to dip each season, and he still produces 25+ HR and 70+ RBI. Stolen bases are in the rearview mirror, but he continues to finish in the top five of third basemen. A free agent, Bregman should decide soon where he will call the upcoming season home, but he should be projected for 25+ HR and 75+ RBI in 2025.
6. Nolan Arenado, St. Louis Cardinals
Arenado saw a power outage in 2024 as his 16 home runs were his lowest since 2014, and 71 RBI his lowest total since 2022. 2025 will be his age-34 season, and he still has a handful of solid years left. The dip in home runs is a cause for concern, but he should be motivated entering Spring Training and expected to once again reach 25+ home runs.
7. Alec Bohm, Philadelphia Phillies
Bohm is coming off a second-straight season with 15+ HR and 97 RBI. He has yet to tap into his full power potential, but a robust .280/.332/.448 slash line is anything to complain about. If Alec Bohm comes anywhere near repeating his slash line with 15 HR and 97 RBI, he will jump into the top five rankings heading into 2026.
8. Isaac Paredes, Houston Astros
The 25-year-old Paredes joins Houston after being part of the deal that sent Kyle Tucker to the Cubs. Paredes has shown his ability to hit for power over the last few seasons and is headed for career-best numbers playing in Houston. 2023 saw the right-handed hitter finish with career highs in home runs (31) and RBI (98). His current ADP (180) is a steal for a player projected at 26+ HR and 90+ RBI.
9. Jazz Chisholm Jr., New York Yankees
Chisholm Jr. capped off a career year in 2024 while finding new motivation after being dealt to perennial contenders in New York. His 3B/OF eligibility brings intrigue to fantasy baseball rosters, and fantasy baseball players can expect another 20+ HR, 70+ RBI, and 35+ SB season.
10. Junior Caminero, Tampa Bay Rays
21-year-old Junior Caminero received his second call-up in 2024 and is set to break Spring Training with an everyday role in Tampa Bay. His power was evident during his time in the minors, and he should outperform his ADP (106.6) and finish with 25+ HR and 70+ RBI.
