The National Championship will be decided tonight, but the race for the top transfer talent in college basketball is already in full swing. This past weekend delivered a flurry of game-changing moves as we unveil our Top 200 Transfer Portal Big Board.

Michigan continued its push for the No. 1 transfer class by landing dynamic forward Yaxel Lendeborg from UAB. Lendeborg remains a potential early-entry candidate for the pros, but if he suits up in Ann Arbor, Michigan will have three Top 30 players from our Big Board: Lendeborg, Elliot Cadeau, and Morez Johnson. Coach Dusty May has quickly reestablished Michigan as a force at the top of the Big Ten for the foreseeable future.

Kentucky had a relatively quiet start to the portal season, but that changed in a big way with the commitment of former Pitt standout point guard Jaland Lowe. After missing on some early targets, Big Blue Nation can breathe a bit easier, as the Wildcats filled a major position of need. Lowe had a strong sophomore campaign, though some will point to his three-point percentage dip from 35% as a freshman to 27% last season. Still, with more talent around him and a guard-friendly system under new leadership, expect positive shooting regression and a significant impact.

North Carolina also addressed a major need by adding former Arizona big man Henri Veesaar. Veesaar instantly upgrades the center position—a glaring weakness for the Tar Heels last season. His ability to stretch the floor, set solid screens, and contribute in the post should help Coach Hubert Davis revamp a more versatile and dynamic offense. He’ll be joined by former West Virginia wing Jonathan Powell, who had a productive freshman season and shot 35% from three while seeing extended minutes due to injuries on the Mountaineers’ roster.

Alabama is off to a fast start in reloading its roster, already landing three Top 100 players on our Big Board. Former McDonald’s All-American and Miami guard Jalil Bethea headlines the group, joining Taylor Bol Bowen (Florida State) and Noah Williamson (Bucknell). Bethea’s upside remains high despite a rough year in a struggling Miami program. Under Coach Nate Oats, his shot creation and athleticism should thrive. Bowen is an ideal 3-and-D fit with length and energy, while Williamson, the reigning Patriot League Player of the Year, is a different kind of “5” than Oats typically deploys. He lacks the elite athleticism of former Tide bigs like Bediako, Nelson, or Omoruyi, but Coach Oats has a strong track record of maximizing his players’ strengths.
