NHL Week 14 Power Rankings

1. Winnipeg Jets 31-13-3

The Jets refuse to let up and won 2 of their 3 matchups this past week.

2. Vegas Golden Knights 29-14-3

The Golden Knights are suddenly on a 3 game-losing streak, including losses to the lowly Predators and Blackhawks. For now they retain their rank of 2nd.

3. Washington Capitals 31-10-5

The Caps are now on a 4 game win streak, though all 4 games were very winnable matchups.

4. Carolina Hurricanes 27-16-3

Up a spot. The Canes are still one of the strongest teams in the NHL.

5. New Jersey Devils 26-17-6

Down a spot. The Devils are now on a 4 game losing streak, and look like they might be starting to lose some steam.

6. Edmonton Oilers 29-14-3

Up 2 spots. The Oilers were on a 4 game win streak before losing by 1 to the Canucks. They continue to quickly rise up the ranks.

7. Toronto Maple Leafs 29-16-2

The Leafs lost to Dallas but beat both New Jersey and Montreal. They have won 6 of 9 games so far this month.

8. Minnesota Wild 27-15-4

Down 2 spots. That’s 3 losses in a row for the Wild, though 1 was against the formidable Golden Knights and another against the red-hot Oilers. 

9. Tampa Bay Lightning 25-16-3

The Lightning won 2 of their 3 matchups this past week, though both of their wins were against bottom 5 teams.

10. Los Angeles Kings 25-13-5

The Kings lost 2 of their 3 matchups this past week. They keep their spot at the tail end of the top 10… for now.

11. Dallas Stars 29-16-1

The Stars beat the Leafs and the Red Wings but lost to the Canadiens and the Avalanche. 

12. Florida Panthers 27-17-3

The Panthers defeated the Flyers and Red Wings but fell to the Devils and Ducks.

13. Colorado Avalanche 28-18-1

The Avs beat the Rangers and Stars but lost a close one against Edmonton.

14. Ottawa Senators 24-18-4

The Senators beat the Islanders, Bruins, and Devils but lost to the Capitals. All were close games.

15. Boston Bruins 22-19-6

The Bruins beat the Lightning but lost in shootouts to the Senators.

16. Vancouver Canucks 

The Canucks lost to the Jets and the Kings but beat the Oilers by one.

17. New York Rangers 

The Rangers lost to the Avs and the Canadiens but beat Utah and Columbus.

18. Calgary Flames 

The Flames beat the Blackhawks and the Jets but lost twice to the Blues.

19. Utah Hockey Club 

Utah lost to the Canadiens and Rangers but beat the Blues.

20. St. Louis Blues 

The Blues beat the Flames twice but lost to Utah.

21. Pittsburgh Penguins 

Pittsburgh lost to Columbus, Ottawa, and Tampa Bay but beat Edmonton.

22. Columbus Blue Jackets 

The Blue Jackets beat the Flyers and the Sharks but lost to the Rangers.

23. Montreal Canadiens 

Montreal beat Utah and Dallas but got their butts kicked by Toronto.

24. Philadelphia Flyers 

The Flyers beat the Panthers, Islanders, and Predators but lost in shootouts to the Blue Jackets.

25. Seattle Kraken 

The Kraken beat the Penguins and the Kings but lost to the Jets.

26. New York Islanders 

The Islanders lost to the Senators and the Flyers but beat the woeful Sharks.

27. Buffalo Sabres 

Buffalo beat Carolina but lost to Pittsburgh. 

28. Anaheim Ducks 

The Ducks are on a 3 game losing streak after losing to the Capitals, Lightning, and Panthers.

29. Detroit Red Wings 

The Red Wings lost to the Sharks and Lightning but beat the talented Panthers.

30. Nashville Predators 

Don’t look now, but the Predators are on a 3 game winning streak, having somehow beaten the Golden Knights, the Blackhawks, and the Wild in order. 

31. San Jose Sharks 

The Sharks beat the Red Wings but lost to the Blue Jackets and Islanders. They have 5 of 6 games these past 2 weeks.

32. Chicago Blackhawks 

Chicago lost to the Flames and Predators but beat the intimidating Golden Knights.
