Dr. Roto’s Daily Prescription 8/10: Two Injuries to Monitor

Dr. Roto looks at two player injuries to keep an eye on at the start of the preseason.

Two injuries I will be monitoring:

Miami Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle left practice on Wednesday with what appears to be a rib injury. I doubt that we will see him take part in any preseason action and with about a month to go before Opening Kickoff, I expect he will have enough time to recover. It will be interesting to see who steps up in preseason games between Cedrick Wilson Jr, Robby Chosen and Braxton Berrios. The winner of that competition will be the WR3 on what should be one of the most potent offenses in the league.

Cleveland Browns RB Jerome Ford is suffering with a hamstring injury and has been labeled week-to-week. Most times we hear the words day-to-day with these types of injuries, so week-to-week is more ominous. The Kareem Hunt free agency tour might make a trip back to Cleveland if Ford won’t be ready for Week 1. I know that the Browns really like Ford, but if he cannot start the season, Demetric Felton is not going to be good enough to spell Nick Chubb. As for Chubb, this solidifies his already vice like grip on the touches.
