Top MLB Prop Picks 5/7

Corey Seager MORE than 5.5 Fantasy Points

Seager hasn’t gotten off to a good start this season, batting just .227 with a .299 OBP. Last season, he batted .327 with a .390 OBP, so you know that at some point, he will get hot and be a force at the plate. The hot streak may have already begun, as Seager has at least one hit in four straight games, which is the longest stretch of the season for him. He has a good matchup tonight against Ross Stripling, who is 1-5 this season with a 4.24 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP.

Reynaldo Lopez MORE Than 5.5 Strikeouts

Reynaldo Lopez has been on fire this season for the Braves and shows no signs of slowing down. He’s been a standout with a 1.50 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP through his first five starts. His consistency is also impressive, with at least six strikeouts in each of his past four starts. He’s up against the Red Sox tonight, a team that has struck out 51 times in the past seven days, making Lopez a strong contender to record more than 5.5 Strikeouts.

Josh Naylor MORE Than 5.5 Fantasy Points

Naylor and the Guardians’ offense have been great this season. Naylor is batting .275 with a .360 OBP, eight HRs, 26 RBI, and 16 runs. He bats in a prime lineup spot and has many opportunities to drive in runs, which is great because tonight he faces Kenta Maeda, who has been terrible this season. Maeda has a 5.02 ERA and has struggled even more in his road starts. He is on the road tonight, another reason to like Naylor.

Seth Lugo MORE Than 5 Strikeouts

Lugo has pitched great this season, exceeding all expectations. In his past two starts, he has seen his strikeout totals soar. Here is some perspective for you: In Lugo’s first five starts this season, he totaled 14 strikeouts. In his past two starts, he has 17 strikeouts, with no less than eight in either start. Tonight, he faces the Brewers, who have struck 50 times in the past seven days, so we could see his success in missing bats continue.
