Top MLB Prop Picks 4/22

Jared Jones MORE Than 6.5 Strikeouts

Jones has been lighting up the radar gun and mowing down hitters at a very high rate. He has at least seven strikeouts in every start so far this season and will face the Brewers tonight in a battle for positioning in the NL Central.

Zack Littell MORE Than 5 Strikeouts

Littell has been a bright spot for the Rays, who have dealt with plenty of injuries to their starting rotation dating back to last season. He has a solid 2.14 ERA and is averaging more than a strikeout per inning. He has struck out at least five batters in three of his four starts and faces a Tigers lineup tonight that has been one of the worst in the league since the first week of the season.

Carlos Rodon LESS Than 7 Strikeouts

Even though Rodon has pitched well this season for the Yankees, his K/9 is down from previous years. He has not struck out more than six batters in any start this season and has struck out five or less in three of his four starts. Although he faces Oakland today, an excellent matchup that I expect him to pitch well in, I’m not sold on him racking up more than seven strikeouts.

Bobby Witt Jr. MORE Than 0.5 Runs

Witt has one of the best power/speed combinations in all of MLB, and it leads to plenty of runs because not only can he drive himself in, but once he gets on base, he can put himself in scoring position. He’s batting .300 with a .351 OBP right now, so chances are he is getting on base tonight. It also helps Witt that Vinnie Pasquantino and Salvador Perez bat behind him, who are both having strong starts to the season as well. He has scored 20 runs in 22 games this season; after the Royals were shut out last night, look for them to bounce back in this one.
