Top MLB Prop Picks 4/12

Ketel Marte MORE Than 0.5 Runs

Marte hits leadoff for a talented D-Backs team, which leads to him scoring plenty of runs. He has already scored 12 this season in 13 games thanks to his lineup spot and his .356 OBP, three HRs, and three doubles. He has traditionally hit well against LHP, so that is another thing to watch for tonight as he takes on lefty Steven Matz.

Dane Dunning MORE Than 4.5 Strikeouts

Dunning is a different pitcher this season. He has added a splitter, and it’s leading to a lot more swings and misses. He has seven strikeouts in each of his first two starts this season, and he did it against two very good teams in the Astros and the Rays. I liked this prop when it opened up at five strikeouts, so the fact that we can get it at 4.5 now is just an added bonus.

Spencer Steer MORE Than 0.5 Runs

Steer hits towards the top of the Reds’ lineup and, to this point, he has arguably been their best hitter. He has a .372 average, a .471 OBP, three HRs, four doubles, one triple, 15 RBI, and 10 runs in 12 games. Tonight, he and the Reds face Chris Flexen of the White Sox, who has a 0-2 record, a 5.91 ERA, and a 1.59 WHIP. The Reds should be one of the highest-scoring teams tonight.

Bobby Witt Jr. MORE Than 1.5 Total Bases

It’s been a special start to the season for Bobby Witt Jr. and his Royals teammates. They are the highest-scoring team in the American League entering play today, and Witt Jr. is a big reason why. He is batting .358 with a .414 OBP, four HRs, five doubles, two triples, and 13 runs in 13 games. Every night he seems to do something big to help his team, and we should take advantage while he is hot at the plate.
