Top RT Sports MLB Pick’Em Plays 4/6: Yordan Alvarez, Randy Arozarena, Austin Riley

Trevor gives out his favorite MLB props for today on RT Sports!

ATLANTA, GA - MAY 14: Austin Riley #27 of the Atlanta Braves hits an RBI double in the eighth inning of a game against the San Diego Padres at Truist Park on May 14, 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia. (Photo by Brett Davis/Getty Images)

7:05 p.m. EST Yordan Alavarez OVER 1.5 Total Bases

Alvarez has struggled to start the season but it’s just a matter of time before he gets hot. He has only struck out 4 times, so he is getting the bat on the ball. Texas SP Jon Gray is going to struggle to get Yordan out and I expect a multi-hit game or at least an extra-base hit.

7:20 p.m. EST Austin Riley UNDER 9 Fantasy Points

I really like Arizona SP Brandon Pfaadt but it’s difficult to play him against an entire potent Braves lineup. I do think we can find an advantage where he and the D-Backs pitching staff can limit Riley who has struck out 9 out of 26 at-bats. I think Pfaadt will get him to K at least once making it a bit easier to keep him under 9 fantasy points.

8:10 p.m. EST Randy Arozarena UNDER 7 Fantasy Points

The weather at Coors Field is expected to have wind gusts blowing in from left to right at 27 MPH. It’s going to be tough to lift a home run tonight. Of all the games, this game has the most props listed which is strange for a usually high-scoring Coors Field. I will be contrarian and play the majority of the hitting props under. Arozarena has scored over 7 fantasy points three times but hit homers in two of those games. I like him under tonight without a homerun.

9:38 p.m. EST Reid Detmers UNDER 7 Strikeouts

In 30 starts last year, Detmers only had more than 7 strikeouts just 8 times while finishing under 7 strikeouts in half of his games. Going by last year’s numbers, we have less than a 28% chance of losing with a 50% chance of winning. He is a good piece to add as a third leg because he does have a decent shot to push the number of 7 which would drop your three-player prop down to two.
