Hitters
*78% OF Jordan Walker, St. Louis Cardinals- Showing much better plate discipline so far this year and the highest exit velocities he’s ever had. Strong buy.
*76% OF Victor Scott, St. Louis Cardinals- Batting a very encouraging .308/.367/.462 with a homer and 4 steals already. His peripherals suggest some regression is in order, but still one of the higher upside targets right now.
*69% SS Jacob Wilson, Oakland Athletics- Already has 2 bombs and is showing off his elite hit tool with at least a hit in all 8 games he’s played.
66% C, 1B, OF Hunter Goodman, Colorado Rockies- Already has 2 bombs and is playing full time, which gives incredible value for a catcher. Peripheral stats largely support what he is doing.
*64% 1B Ben Rice, New York Yankees- Has been amazing so far, and ownership has consequently shot up 20%. Excellent source of power and is even showing some speed.
56% 2B Gavin Lux, Cincinnati Reds- Peripherals show he’s been getting unlucky so far. He’s hitting the ball harder than ever and could be a sneaky good pickup.
*55% 2B Jorge Polanco, Seattle Mariners- Has been awesome, hitting .450/.476/.750 through his first 5 games. Only 5 more games until he gains eligibility at 3rd. Here’s hoping he stays healthy!
54% OF Sal Frelick, Milwaukee Brewers- It isn’t showing any gains in power yet, but it still has a good hit tool with some speed.
41% OF Max Kepler, Philadelphia Phillies- Mainly a target in OBP leagues, in which he plays up substantially with his plate discipline.
30% 2B Will Wagner, Toronto Blue Jays- Solid bat who hasn’t done much yet but still has some upside. He might gain eligibility at 3rd eventually.
25% OF Alek Thomas, Arizona Diamondbacks- Did a lot of offseason work and is quietly hitting well so far over a small sample. His batted ball data, if it sticks, is the best he’s ever had. Plays mostly vs. righties.
*21% 2B Ryan Bliss, Seattle Mariners- It seems like he’s getting a little unlucky right now, but he will need to start getting more hits quickly, or his playing time will inevitably suffer. Massive speed upside.
20% 1B, OF Gavin Sheets, San Diego Padres- Excellent start, hitting .421/.450/.684 with a homer and a steal while playing almost exclusively against righties.
Pitchers
*74% SP Max Meyer, Miami Marlins- Love the 5/1 K/BB ratio so far. He is not great for wins, but he will miss bats. His control so far is very encouraging. Top SP target this week under 80% ownership.
73% SP Tylor Megill, New York Mets- 2 starts, 2 wins for Megill with decent stats. His stuff is nasty, but he still needs to work on his control. Worth scooping.
*71% SP Casey Mize, Detroit Tigers- Carried the success he had this spring into his first start. It looks like he might finally put it all together, and he is a great SP target.
*67% SP Jordan Hicks, San Francisco Giants- Good first start and is averaging nearly 99 mph on his fastball. Has amazing stuff, but it remains to be seen if he’s turned a corner. Worth grabbing now if possible in case he has.
67% SP AJ Smith-Shawver, Atlanta Braves- Filthy stuff but needs to get the walks down. Until then, he is high risk/high reward.
54% RP Luke Jackson, Texas Rangers- Will need to spend a good amount to land him now as he already has 4 saves. It still seems a bit risky given his bad historical ratios, but it is likely worth bidding for if you need saves.
50% SP Will Warren, New York Yankees- Risky option right now. He has good stuff, but it looks like he is still figuring out how to put it all together.
42% SP Griffin Canning, New York Mets- Underwhelming in his first start, but still has some upside playing for a good team.
31% SP Jack Kochanowicz, Los Angeles Angels- He might not get many wins or strikeouts, but could be of value in very deep leagues and leagues that count quality starts.
31% RP Emilio Pagan, Cincinnati Reds- Got the first save with Alexis Diaz sidelined and seems like the frontrunner for saves until Diaz returns. His high was 20 saves back in 2019, so he has some experience closing out games and is generally a solid RP.
