Juan Soto MORE than 7 Fantasy Points
Soto is one of the best hitters in baseball this season, just like he is every season. He is batting .310 with a .437 OBP, 93 runs, 24 doubles, 28 HR and 78 RBI. He is riding a six-game hitting streak that has seen him score seven runs, walk five times, hit four doubles, a HR, and drive in four runs. Soto faces Angels SP Davis Daniel tonight, who has had some decent starts this season but has also struggled against good lineups. Prior to his most recent start against the Rockies, Daniel allowed 11 ER in nine innings against the Rangers and Athletics.
Nick Lodolo MORE than 6 Strikeouts
When healthy, Lodolo has been a good pitcher for the Reds this season. He has 100 strikeouts in 97 innings pitched, 19 of them over his past three starts. Tonight, he faces the Marlins, who are the second-worst team in MLB this season in runs per game. They also traded away Jazz Chisolm, Josh Bell, and Bryan De La Cruz last week, who were three of their best hitters. Lodolo should dominate this lineup, and if he can go five to six innings as he has in each of his past three starts, six strikeouts should come pretty easily for him.
Grayson Rodriguez MORE than 5.5 Strikeouts
Rodriguez is 13-4 this season with a 3.86 ERA and 130 Ks in 116.2 innings. He has struck out at least seven batters in five of his past six starts and eight in four of those five starts. He faces the Blue Jays tonight, who have a very inconsistent lineup with a lot of swing-and-miss, so we should expect G-Rod to continue to rack up the Ks. He has needed just five to six innings to reach seven or more strikeouts, and he has thrown at least five innings in every start this season except for one that came back in late April. It is hard to imagine him not reaching five-plus innings tonight, considering he has done it in 19 of 20 starts.
Mark Vientos MORE than 7 Fantasy Points
Vientos is having a fantastic rookie season, and the biggest reason why is that he has big-time power. He has 16 HR this season in 66 games. Tonight, he not only faces a LHP, which is noteworthy because of his .366 batting average and .409 OBP against them, but he is also in Coors Field, which is a big boost to any hitter, especially power hitters. The lefty he faces is Kyle Freeland who has a 5.64 ERA this season with a 1.50 WHIP and .307 BAA.
