The New Orleans Saints are approaching a potentially important point in the recovery timelines of three injured offensive players. Head coach Kellen Moore provided an update on wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, left tackle Kelvin Banks Jr., and running back Travis Etienne Jr., with the team set to determine whether Wednesday is the right time to begin their next steps.
Saints could begin return process Wednesday

Moore said the three players currently on injured reserve will work with the training staff before the Saints make a decision on whether to bring them back to practice Wednesday.
βThe IR guys are still to be determined; theyβll have some work today with the training room, and weβll make a decision on whether Wednesdayβs the ideal time to bring them up.β
Tyson has been working his way back from a hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined since training camp. He was placed on injured reserve before the season and was designated to return, making him eligible to return once the Saints determine he is ready.
Banks has also been on injured reserve while dealing with an ankle injury. The offensive tackle underwent surgery following his injury, and the Saints have been waiting for him to progress enough to resume football activities.
Etienne could also be nearing a return

Etienne is another significant offensive piece the Saints are hoping to get back. The running back was placed on injured reserve after suffering a hamstring injury against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 3. His placement on IR required him to miss at least four games.
Etienne had 19 carries for 57 yards before suffering the injury against Las Vegas, and his absence has left New Orleans without one of its key additions. The Saints have relied on Alvin Kamara, Kendre Miller and other backs during his absence.
The Saints now have the opportunity to determine whether all three players are ready to take another step. Moore’s comments do not guarantee that Tyson, Banks or Etienne will return to practice Wednesday, but the fact that the team is evaluating them for that possibility represents a positive development.
New Orleans is coming off its Week 8 bye, giving the injured players additional time to recover. The Saints will now evaluate each player’s progress before deciding whether to open the practice window.
