The 2026-27 NBA season is almost here, and ticket prices for home openers vary dramatically across the league. According to the TickPick data, fans looking to attend their favorite teamβs first home game could pay anywhere from just $7 to more than $1,100 for a get-in ticket.
The New York Knicks are by far the most expensive team, with a listed get-in price of $1,112. That enormous price comes as the defending NBA champions prepare to open their season at Madison Square Garden against the Philadelphia 76ers on Oct. 20. The game will also feature New Yorkβs championship banner celebration and LeBron Jamesβ regular-season debut with Philadelphia.
Knicks tickets are in a league of their own

The Knicks are the only team with a home-opener get-in price above $1,000. The Boston Celtics rank second at $160, followed by the Philadelphia 76ers at $145 and San Antonio Spurs at $124.
The Los Angeles Lakers round out the top five at $110, while the Minnesota Timberwolves ($80), Toronto Raptors ($73), Portland Trail Blazers ($67), Dallas Mavericks ($66) and Miami Heat ($66) complete the top 10.
Several teams offer significantly cheaper options

There is a massive gap between the most and least expensive NBA home openers. The Knicks’ $1,112 price is nearly 159 times higher than the $7 listed for the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Charlotte Hornets ($8) and New Orleans Pelicans ($12) also sit at the bottom of the rankings, giving fans in those markets considerably cheaper options compared with the league’s biggest ticket draws.
The pricing also illustrates just how much demand surrounds New York entering the new season. Separate ticket-market data has similarly shown the Knicks at the top of the NBA pricing landscape, with their home opener against Philadelphia commanding exceptionally high prices.
It is worth noting that resale-market prices can change quickly based on demand, inventory, and the timing of the purchase. TickPick’s current NBA ticket marketplace continues to show prices fluctuating across individual games.
