MLB: 10 Teams That Can Win The World Series In 2025

The Dodgers celebrate after beating the Yankees in the 2024 World Series at Yankee Stadium.

The reigning champion Dodgers are off to a good start to the season, and they will only get better. Can anyone beat them come playoff time? Here are the 10 teams with the best chance of winning the 2025 World Series:

1. Los Angeles Dodgers

No one is better than the Dodgers on paper, and they are built to repeat. This team is arguably better than last season’s.

2. Philadelphia Phillies

They play in a tough NL East, but are the most complete team. Even if they don’t win the division, they are built to win in the postseason.

3. New York Yankees

The lineup has been good, the bullpen has been fantastic and their starting pitching, if healthy, will only improve.

4. New York Mets

Is their starting pitching good enough? Their lineup is, and they are not afraid to make a big trade to improve their chances.

5. San Diego Padres

Have been playing great baseball so far. They have 2 great SP, which is enough to make a deep playoff run.

6. Chicago Cubs

Their offense is playing great, they have good pitching, but losing Justin Steele hurts. They will need to add SP to go deep into the playoffs.

7. Detroit Tigers

Great rotation and getting production from young hitters. They can win in the playoffs thanks to the great pitching. Pitching wins championships.

They are playing much better than anyone expected. Logan Webb is a true ace. Their success might not last, but right now, they have to be considered.
