These players have had big spring training performances. Let’s take a look at what they have done and if they can maintain their success when the real games begin. Who are your favorite spring training standouts this year?
3B Curtis Mead, Rays

The Rays youngster is having an incredible spring. He leads all of MLB in hits, is batting over .500 and has an OBP over .600. He obviously won’t maintain that success once we get into the regular season, but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s been fantastic.
OF Robert Hassell, Nationals

He is one of the Nationals prospects that is seemingly forgotten about because of James Wood and Dylan Crews. Hassell is having a great spring though and could be on the big league roster sooner than expected.
OF Cody Bellinger, New York Yankees

He is an established player, obviously, but this is his first spring training with the Yankees, and he has been making his presence felt. He has shown off his elite glove work, base running, extra-base hit power and plate discipline.
P Spencer Schwellenbach, Braves

He is expected to be a big part of the Braves rotation this season. He has gotten off to a strong start, posting 16 strikeouts in 12.2 innings and an elite 1.03 WHIP.
OF Miguel Andujar, Athletics

Andujar is hitting the ball very well. His bat has never been in question, though. His defense has been an issue, as is staying healthy.
1B Ty France, Twins

France has, for all intents and purposes, won the 1B job in Minnesota with his solid spring.
1B Rhys Hoskins, Brewers

He has been hitting for a ton of power and the Brewers are going to need that this season, especially after losing Willy Adames in free agency.
1B Gavin Sheets, Padres

Sheets may have found a home with the Padres. He has shown off solid power and could contribute against RHP this year.
P Hayden Birdsong, Giants

He has 18 strikeouts in 12 innings, but what is most impressive is the 0.75 ERA and 0.50 WHIP.
P Jared Jones, Pirates

The 2nd year man looks great in spring. He has 17 strikeouts in 12 innings, posting a 2.25 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and a .190 BAA.
P Jack Leiter, Rangers

Although his WHIP is a tad bit high, Leiter has a solid 3.07 ERA this spring and has 17 strikeouts in 14.2 innings. Opposing batters are hitting just .216 against him.
